Huge shoutout to Clay, the dude from Toppers Pizza who brought me my pie!
Clay was one of the best delivery experiences I’ve had in a long time. He had a cool vibe, was prompt, professional, and just seemed to be an all around solid human being. AND he just happened to have the exact change I requested when I paid cash, which honestly felt like a minor miracle.
The pizza arrived hot (like right out of the oven hot!), fresh, and right on time, but Clay’s energy is what really made the experience stand out. In a world where great customer service feels rare some days, he absolutely nailed it.
Toppers on Lyndale is lucky to have him. Please give this guy the recognition he deserves. I love Toppers and have been a regular for years. This is actually the first review I’ve ever written, and that should tell you something.

Listen.. I’ve been a Toppers girlie since 2009. That being said, it has gone significantly downhill over the years.
The Pickle topperstix were a huge let down. Zero dill flavor and 5 whole pickles slices, which is less than a slice per stick….
They’ve changed their dipping sauces and they taste awful. The nacho cheese and marinara were always my favs. Neither taste the same. The cheese is somewhat tolerable but the “marinara” is AWFUL. Both the consistency and taste are like barbecue sauce. They need to go back to the old ways….
Probably going to be the last time I’ll order from them unfortunately.

The pizza was decent but the garlic knots… so sad, dry, and burnt. Better off going to Walmart and buying some. How is it in a pile of oil yet so dry? Truly one of the world’s greatest mysteries.

This was my first time trying the Lyndale location and it was epic fail.
I pre-ordered but when I went in to pickup they said they hadn’t even started yet. I thought it’s ok, things happen. The food is great, it’ll be worth the wait.
I got home to find out they made me a medium when I paid for a large (photo). They simply used a large box but put a medium pizza inside. The nacho stixx I ordered was bare from toppings on a good quarter of it and it was missing the queso.
I’m not sure why it’s so drastically different from other stores; it’s very disappointing

We ordered our pizza carryout. The quality is horrible!!! It seems like this pizza was pre-cooked and was sitting around for an hour and reheated again prior to picking it up. The crust was burnt and the cheese was chewy. We were also informed during our phone order that they don’t carry this house pizza in a medium size? Maybe because they didn’t want to make a fresh batch? Really? Don’t waste your money going to this location. There are better quality and “freshly” made pizza joints our there!

I try to give any small business the benefit of doubt, but Toppers Lyndale fails at every aspect of a business. I have placed probably 40+ orders at Toppers Bloomington and for the most part have been satisfied. The 3 times I’ve visited Toppers Minneapolis, 2/3 times to pizza was garbage and the one time, it was just average. About a week ago, I ordered a pizza from Topper’s Minneapolis and it was literally the worst pizza I’ve ever seen. It’s crazy because the last time I ordered a pizza, it was bad, but not as bad as this time. The individual making the pizza was on his phone with his baby mama arguing, while making a pizza with one hand. I originally posted a negative review, but deleted it because I felt like maybe he was having a bad day, but literally, every employee, produces the laziest work out there. The only employee that has produced a decent pizza, is a lady that used to work at the Bloomington location, and she’s been overall amazing. The pizza I ordered, looked horrible, I paid for extra roasted tomatoes, it barely had any on there, the pizza literally barely had any toppings, I’ll attach pictures. I rarely complain about products, but this pizza looked vile. When I complained, I was offered a full refund, which I was grateful for, but I was also promised $25 in credits. Today, I drove to location to redeem the credits and the guy working the store said to come back in the morning, because he doesn’t understand how it works. I already drove 20+ minutes to try to get my pizza and I had to drive back with nothing, it’s actually ridiculous. Do not go to this location ever, I’ve never heard of a business that told you to show up in the morning, like it’s just that simple, lol. Do not buy your pizzas from the Lyndale location. Please boycott it, if we all refuse to buy products from them, maybe they’ll finally step up and stop providing the worst service we’ve ever seen. The pizza image shown below, I literally paid for extra roasted tomatoes and overall this pizza looks like crap.

I ordered pizza from Toppers because they are a community busuness. I ordered pizza for a business holiday party and the manager Dave was great. On Friday, December 19th I called you check in the status of the delivery, I was SHOCKED because the man was so rude abd disrespectful. I’m unsure if the man gave me his name but he wanted to argue and explain the delivery process and pizza process, and I was just asking about the status of the delivery I was waiting on. What caught me off guard is that he stated he was NOT white and I was wondering why. He hung up the phone on me a customer Erich is unprofessional as a representative of a business I will not be using or referring anyone to Toppers pizza.

Quality and service has gone way downhill since they started outsourcing to 3rd party delivery. Multiple orders with missing items, late, and it is absolutely impossible to get compensated for items not received due to the phone lines also seemingly being outsourced or ignored during operating hours. Do NOT waste your money here.
