The crew was super sweet and didn’t even judge our chaotic energy, off-center swings, or the fact that we cheered like it was the Super Bowl every time someone hit the ball straight.
Would 100% do again—just next time, we’re bringing portable fans and stronger SPF. Moms swing hard, okay?
1. Their website has no mention about the mini golf pricing, reservation, etc (which is the main attraction of the place if you are going with family and kids).
2. I called the place to ask about mini golf and I was given completely incorrect information that the mini golf is priced per party (1 to 6 players) and per hour at the rate of around $22
3. This info turned out to be incorrect since when I visited in person I was told that there is no time limit for mini golf and the cost is actually $5 per person and not based on a party.
4. Since I thought I could only stay in mini golf for one hour, I pre-reseved the main bay for one one from when I planned to visit the place. My idea was to spend 1 hour in mini golf and then go to the main area.
5. We couldn’t fully utilize the mini golf time and we’re forced to move to main bay area (even though there is no time limit on miningolf) bcz the front desk was very rigid on my reservation time for the main bay. We went on a Thursday night when literally the place was deserted and even after requesting they dint allow to push my reservation slot by 15 or 30min to the next slot.
6. Moreover, their stupid computers in the main bay are slow and ask you to enter the details of all the players. This includes info like phone number, email address, etc (either this or you just play without getting a chance to type player names). Just ssk for player names and that’s it. Also, their app option asks $5 per person to setup their account. Not sure what that is. Just setup everything from the screen and it shouldn’t cost you extra.
If you want to be so strict about everything, then should clearly specify all the information on your website or provide the correct info when someone calls you. Or atleast you should be flexible enough to let me move my scheduled slot to next slot especially bcz there is literally no body using the next slots for the day anyways.
What’s the point of having humans attending customers when you are rigid like computers? You should be able to adapt to the situation accommodate reasonable requests from customers 🙁
Update (Jul 12): Top golf replied to my review asking me to reach out to them. So, I sent out my issues as feedback on their page. I will update here when I get a response from them.
Bryce took 10-15 minutes to ring up a single glove, before we could start at our bay, when we finally got out to begin practice there were only 38 minutes left out of our allotted hour. We made note of the discrepancy in time and requested a 15 minute extension to our time slot. Bear in mind we were one of only two bays being used on the bottom level, it was a cold, rainy day and the range was nearly empty, we were promptly informed that we were late (we signed in 5 minutes past our reservation) and there would be no extension. I totally understand if we’d arrived far later, or if an extension would actively be the cause of lost revenue if another party was coming in, but as it stood, the entire range was nearly empty, no one was waiting on our bay, we were one of 2 customers on the entire floor. Management stood nothing to lose from an extension and nothing to gain from refusing other than a power trip.
Bryce was impersonal and unwilling to address the fact that it was his delay of our session through lack of training and ability to ring up a single glove in a reasonable manner that caused the primary loss of our session time.
The manager was just as indifferent, too busy chatting up some younger waitresses to give any acknowledgment other than a short “that’s just policy” before turning back to the girls. I suppose if you’re planning on spending an hour here it would be a good idea to arrive 20-30 minutes early to ensure that you get your full session time, as there was a couple behind us that got held up by the glove fiasco due to no fault of their own and likely missed just as much if not more of their session time when we were literally the only two parties checking in.
If this is how they handle business on a slow day I’d hate to be there when it’s busy. You have a right to spend your money where you please, but also a right to know what you’re getting into. As for me, I’m severely disappointed at what Bigshots has become since the top golf buyout, and won’t be returning, perhaps there’s a reason their stock has dropped 10% year over year for a 50% decline in share value over the last 5 years, what we experienced today clearly demonstrates their decline.
The game and food both were awesome…
Played angey birds golf too
