Food and service were good…but… the restaurant and bathroom were filthy. The bathroom was really gross. Opted to not wash my hands in there… also all tables were sticky and had food crumbs. Used my own wipes to clear an area to safely eat. Too bad, because the restaurant itself has a cool look.

Added 8 months later: Top Spot is now open at 8 am for breakfast, with a variety of small egg sandwiches (biscuit and English muffin), plus they brought back my favorite: the Sunriser. I get this ham and scrambled egg sandwich on toasted rye bread with Swiss cheese (or no cheese), and it’s a full-size sandwich, so I usually take half away to have for a later meal. My spouse got the English muffin breakfast sandwich meal, with hash browns that come in a little flat cake, perfect for dabbing with the Sriracha ketchup we bring along. Liking this early morning fare!

Added 2 years later: Top Spot just keeps getting better. Some of my fondly-remembered sandwiches may be gone, but they’ve added hush-puppies, with a great savory-spicy flavor. We prefer them to fries, as a side for our sandwich orders. Still have the excellent salads; one of my buddies prefers the BBQ Chicken salad, while I usually opt for the Asian Chicken salad. Two other varieties are available, too, but they all come with meat in them. For a vegetarian salad, order either chicken salad with “don’t cut the chicken” and “set the chicken up To Go.” Then you get the salad base without meat in it.

Original review: This local place was closed for a long renovation, but was fondly remembered by our new neighbors here, so we were excited to see them reopen. Fortunately, the recommendations weren’t hype. The burgers and shakes are tasty and not over-priced, fries are well-made, and there are salads and vegetarian options on the menu. The outstanding item, though, is a “scone,” which in Utah means something more akin to a burger-sized Yorkshire pudding than to a low-soda biscuit. An order is two scones in a packet with honey-butter, but they don’t need any extra flavor; they’re savory with a pleasant texture and mouth-feel. Yum!

NOTES: For best service, don’t arrive in the lunch hour — a high school is three blocks away, and the place is noisy and full then.

The posted menu doesn’t always correspond with what is served. Three invitingly-described salads are not (yet) available, and the “Crew’s Creation” lists cheese which it does not come with, but not lettuce, which it does.

Great local food joint. You can get a sandwich, fried and a drink for around 10 bucks. I got a pastrami sandwich on rye and it hit the spot. There was probably 10 layers of pastrami in it as well, they don’t skimp on you

This place is the best fast food in Cedar City by far. Burgers, sandwiches, and salads are all good, which is kinda rare for a single place. I got a BLT and sweet potato fries this time. Delicious!

This place is adorable! So cute! Love the booths and color scheme. It was busy when we came, so we waited a bit, but yummy food, nice place to be.

Top spot is a hidden gem on Main Street in Cedar City. My husband and I came in and everyone was friendly. The place is clean and well maintained. We loved how there is a Coke and Pepsi machine. Lots of options! Our food came out hot and our fries were crispy!! Thank you! We will be back!

Lousy service. Rude uninterested kids running the place with no supervision apparently. ( I can’t imagine an owner / manager tolerating this kind of rude behavior.) Walked in at 8pm, door said they close at 9pm. 1 hour, should be out before 9 so they can close at 9. Instantly a Blue hair kid says “oh great!” and throws his hands in the air and stomps away to the kitchen as the two of us walk in. Several other girls at drive though just glare at us.Short hair girl tells us, after ignoring us for several min to gossip with brown hair girl, blue hair kid and short girl they close soon, with as much attitude as possible. She then just flatly asks “what do you want?” Not even a simple hello. I notice at this point place is basically closed up now. Soda machines are shut off and most the tables are either blocked off or chairs up. Only one garbage can doesn’t have a sign that says “use other garbage” on it. 5 or 6 kids gossiping behind the counter the whole time. I’m sorry, but it’s and HOUR before your posted closing. (Possibly 8:15 since we waited for so long to even be Acknowledged.) I instantly regret that we went out of our way to revisit a pleasant memory at Top Spot. We order two burgers and one fry. Not a large order. Food took 30ish min to even be served. By then it was almost closing time. Blue hair came to our table, literally tossed the food at us instead of calling or number like normal, and reminded us they were closing several times. Burger was good. Fries were somehow cold. Asked for fry sauce and kid flips around and gossips with brown hair girl while some other kid got it from the back. Older guy showed up at about 8:50 who I Can only assume was the owner, and all of the kids stopped gossiping and tried to look busy. We walked out the door at 8:55 and blue hair kid ran to lock the door after us but stopped just short because someone said something as we were leaving. Honestly, all the attitude was infuriating and unwarranted. Top Spot is not at all what it once was. Yes, burger was good, and the cooks are probably great as well, but I’ll probably never go back because of the rude and poorly managed employees running the front.

(If they want to close at 8, post that you close at 8 on the door instead of 9. Used to be you served customers until your posted closing time, then you shut down and clean up. Not an hour before the posted closing time.)

Picture is an attempt of the blue hair kid trying to block access to the only restroom.

We stopped in for soft serve ice cream the first time. The staff was very friendly & the ice cream was great. The next day, we decided to stop in for lunch. The burgers were all delicious! The onion rings were crispy & flavorful. Fry sauce is a nice touch as well. The fries could have used a bit more salt, but over all were not bad. The staff was attentive & very nice. It was really busy when we were there, but the service was efficient. I can’t wait to go back when we stop in Cedar City again.
