I ordered the beef bulgogi, and it came with a few banchan sides. The food tasted really fresh and healthy, not too greasy or heavy. I’m not sure if I like the scorch Rice. The wait staff seemed too busy to go over the food. I do wish they took time with me and demonstrated how to make a ssam. The menu is on the smaller side though, and I found myself wishing there were a few more options to choose from.
Service was quick overall, but if you need something extra, you might have to flag someone down or order through your phone. I did like that the utensils were tucked neatly under the table — a small thing, but really convenient.
Prices are fair — not super cheap, but reasonable for the quality. It does get busy around dinner time, so expect a bit of a crowd.
Overall, a solid little place with good food and a relaxed vibe. I’d definitely come back, especially if they add a few more dishes to the menu.
We ordered the pork bulgogi and short rib sets, and both were fantastic. The meat was tender, juicy, and not greasy at all. The banchan spread was amazing, with each side having its own flavor personality. The onion and cilantro mix with yuzu sauce completely stole the show. Fresh, crisp veggies, a rich nutty dip, and free banchan refills (they even refilled before we asked) sealed the deal.
The vibe was lively and a little loud, but in a good way. It was full of energy while still comfortable enough to have a conversation. Food gets a 4.5 out of 5, service 5 out of 5, and ambiance 4 out of 5. We are already planning our next visit to try their specialty rice dishes.
The rice pot had a rice crust at the bottom. One of the combo dishes also came with a veggie platter. The monkfish soup was also delicious. It had good amount of buttery and tender monkfish.
The banchan (side dishes) had unique flavors and veggies compared to other restaurants’ banchan. I am still thinking about their ssamjang (which tasted a bit of seafood flavor) and it paired perfectly with their veggies. Their soybean paste soup also had pieces of beef. All the dishes were prepared well and tasted homemade.
I ordered the beef tartare bibimbap and it was so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The beef was tender, the veggies crisp, and once you mix it all together it’s pure perfection. Every side dish tasted homemade and full of flavor.
Service was great, super friendly and attentive. They even gave me a sikhye (Korean dessert drink) at the end, which was such a nice surprise. And there’s plenty of parking, which is always a plus.
This place makes you feel fancy but totally comfortable at the same time. If you love Korean food or want to try something new, you have to come here.
Everyone has different tastes, so please take this as just my personal opinion.
I ordered the Galbi Ssam-bap (grilled short rib) to go, and I’d love to dine in next time.
Overall, all the dishes were harmonious and nicely prepared.
Korean food isn’t usually sweet, but I found the flavors generally on the sweeter side—though not overly so.
The hot stone pot rice was especially impressive and looked delicious.
It was a very satisfying meal overall.
However, the vegetables that came with the ssam-bap seemed to have been pre-prepared, and some were soggy, so I had to throw a few pieces away.
I understand it’s difficult to check the packaging before handing it to customers, but I hope the restaurant can find a solution for this.
To be honest, I was a bit upset, but since it was a busy dinner time, I didn’t want to complain and cause unnecessary stress for anyone.
Thankfully, I was able to replace the vegetables with some I had at home.
Please make sure to check the vegetables before packing. Thank you.
Other than that, it was an overall delicious and enjoyable meal.
High recommended.
An umami bomb.
Staff was courteous and generous.
This restaurant earns a Michelin rating in my book.
We got the ssam combo with the L.A. galbi and the stir fried pork and they were so delicious paired with the rice that came ready in a steaming pot. The vegetables were fresh and i loved the banchan (side dishes) that we could add to our wraps.
Overall, for the amount of food we had and quality, it was definitely worth the price. I definitely would recommend going with friends and family and I’ll be coming back soon!
