Amazing with a capital A! Just happened upon this little gem on our way home from Eureka Springs. Was the only place we could find open on Christmas eve. The food was fantastic. We had breakfast and the portions were almost more than we could eat. The young lady that helped us was incredibly nice and made sure our coffee was topped off. We will definitely be back next time we are even remotely close. Highly recommend!!

The food was great and good prices.
Service was great also. Nice quiet lil spot on the side of the road in a lil bitty town. Watch out for the police it’s a speed trap town

Food was fresh and the server was very friendly. I had the frito chili pie and it was good but the cheese on top was a little weird. My husband and son both had burgers and enjoyed them. They said the sweet potato fries were really tasty. We also got oreo pie to go and it was delicious! You could tell it was homemade. The fried apple pie was also good and really fresh.

This is the best small diner on the planet! With incredibly cheap prices, wonderful food, and amazing atmosphere, and stellar service. My friends and I all came in after a weekend of camping as is our tradition, we specifically camp where we do so that we are able to hit this diner along the way.

New menu! (see pictures)
When you walk in, have a seat anywhere you like, you’ll be greeted by your waitress there. We went on a Thursday night an hour before closing and there were very few available seats. Plus they were filling phone orders regularly. We had to wait a little because there were only two people working the front but it wasn’t more than 5 minutes.
It was a place that looks like it hasn’t seen a remodel in a few decades, but doesn’t need one to do its job. The kitchen is really small, and manned by one person, so food wait times were a little longer than normal but not bad.
The people who own this place had also owned Big Daddy’s for a while, and the menu here is the same one they’d used there (as far as I can tell). So if you’re wanting to try some alligator sausage, this is where you can!
Everything was fresh and cooked properly. They used shredded lettuce which wasn’t our favorite. If you order chocolate for your pancakes, waffles or French toast, it’ll be Hershey’s syrup. Catfish was fried lightly. Waitress recommended the beans and they were good, very meaty.
This is a typical diner experience for many places so if you want familiar comfort food, this is a great place.
On a final note, another table ordered the key lime cheesecake and it was practically neon green. Not sure if that’s normal or was a St. Patrick’s day thing.

Was driving back to Oklahoma and needed to get something to fill our bellies — and holy cow, this place was great! We stopped in for breakfast, and everything hit the spot. The food was fresh, portions were generous, and the service was fast and friendly. You can tell they actually care about what they serve. If you’re passing through, definitely stop here — you won’t regret it!

Worthy Diner! I like to stop in for Ribeye and eggs, especially since they have parking for large rigs. The service is always great and the atmosphere is classic country diner. Good portions, fair prices and great people. If you come for breakfast, you get the added bonus of listening to the local residents talking all their farm talk, jokes and news. I am guessing some of the regulars likely have known each other since preschool! This is probably why the vibe here is so welcoming and friendly. If you like diners as much as I do, then definitely add this one to your list of top stops in Arkansas!

Being from MO, any time we’ve driven by, I’ve always assumed this place was so busy because it’s literally the only place to eat in Alpena- ate there for the first time, only to discover it’s busy because the food is delicious!

First time here and it was great. I had the open faced roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans, and Mac and cheese. The beef was cooked well and very tender, and there was a good amount of it too. The Texas style toast was buttered and toasted nicely. Good brown gravy. My wife had a cheeseburger with onion rings. They were excellent as well. They run the kitchen well from what I can see, and they change their fryer oil like they should. From another person’s review I saw they mentioned the bread pudding so we tried it and we both agreed that it’s the BEST bread pudding we’ve EVER had. Seriously. And I’ve sampled my fair share of it! Cassy was our server and she was wonderful. She helped make my first visit exceptional. We will definitely be back.

Visiting a friend who lives nearby. Not from these parts. Everybody going on and on about chocolate gravy around here, so I had to see what all the fuss was about. Well, Good Gracious! It was delicious. Tasted like warm pudding from the stove made the old fashioned way before instant pudding came all tidy in a box. The eggs were scrambled perfectly and the bacon was yummy. The hashbrowns weren’t my style, but everything else made up for that. Carolyn was our waitress and she was kind and helpful. Next time I’m come back in for a hamburger. Thanks for a great memory and full tummy!
