Reviews
The people serving at the counter were nice.
If you go there to eat, please, without any high expectations in advance.
Great view of Gibraltar from a bird’s eye view.
The service leaves a lot to be desired. Can not say that we felt that we were very welcome and that they are waiting for us again. In one room you can only go in by pre-registration. The other room has free tables, but the tables are by the windows with high bar stools, which was not very comfortable.
Service is not attentive to customers: they forgot to bring the meal for my husband (the waiter did not write down his order), and brought only after a reminder, but when our whole family had already finished eating. They brought 2 coffees, but we ordered 1. We ended up giving up coffee that we didn’t order. The food can be rated 3 out of 5. The pasta on the kids menu was canned tomato sauce, the food is overpriced and not commensurate with the high quality. The child refused to drink the strawberry milkshake as she said that it was not tasty. From my side I can add that the cider is very tasty.
Don’t forget that there is a service charge.
I am sure that this restaurant has a lot of customers because it is a monopolist on the mountain top. There is no store where you can buy water, no café where you can just drink coffee, but only this restaurant and the customers go there because there is no alternative.
Staff only talk and keep talking and don’t care much about long queue!
For the 500ml water it’s cost about £2.50!
Monkeys are all around and do not feed them!
We stopped for a quick bite and drinks, and the experience was awful.
Firstly, the messed-up was a simple order, so one of my daughters had to wait an extra 20 minutes for a milkshake ( I had to remind the staff 3 times before it arrived)
The iced latte tured up to be latte with separate glass of ice, and croissants were hard as rock.
In the end, they tried to charge us for an extra milkshake as they added the missing milkshake to the bill.
This is such a waste because the location and views are amazing, but the service and the food are below any standards.
Frankly, it seems they don’t care because the vast majority of the visitors are one timers, so they won’t come back anyway.
If you want to eat something just go to the cabin by the cave (if also visiting nature reserve)
Great cocktails and food with absolutely unique views. From here you can see down both sides of the rock to the north and the restaurant has an observation deck on the top.
You’re often visited (from the outside) by some of the apes who will tap on the glass (despite signs in ape not to).
A must visit location when in Gib.
