We’ve been coming to Top of The Park for some time now and the term “hidden gem” immediately comes to mind! Their authentic Italian dishes never disappoint, whether it’s Chicken Piccata, lasagna, pizza, meatball sub, or anything else…they’re all delicious! And the atmosphere is just what you expect for an authentic Italian restaurant, not fancy, but cozy and inviting. Can’t go wrong with this restaurant!

My bf and I get takeout from here all the time- it’s always –
I just hosted a large surprise party for my mom’s birthday- and of course we ordered catering through TOP – and I had never heard so many compliments on food! It was excellent. I was so proud to tell 65 people! They deserve a round of applause from organization, communication, prep, chef, packaging to delivery. Couldn’t be happier! Shall I go on?! There was just a bit leftover and it was a race to get to making a leftover bag! (I wish I took photos) /

Food was delicious. Staff was courteous and prompt. Atmosphere is plain, but acceptable. Happy we stopped here randomly. I will return.

I stopped into the restaurant to sit in the dining room and have lunch. The room is too bright in the back, and the floors were dirty with caked on sauce by the chairs. I was disgusted by seeing the floors not mopped. I did mention this to the server who was would take care of cleaning the floors. The pizza was average but the crust was too thick. I will try again to see if the back dining room floor was cleaned.

We had a party of 14 for lunch before a memorial service. They gave us a private room, set it up exactly how I requested, were able to turn the music off in the room so we could put our own on, and allowed me to pre-order everything ahead of time. They brought things out in courses, the server was incredibly kind and efficient, and everyone raved about the food. I couldn’t be happier with how well they took care of us. I’m not kidding when I say the food was amazing. I will definitely dying again if I’m in the area!

Stopped in top of the park for a few slices, first of all the owner treated me like I were family. I ordered 2 slices that were very good by the way. Im sitting there alone having my slices and the owner comes over and asked me if I would like a glass of wine. I was taken back by his hospitality. I offered him money but he refused. I will def be going back there again. Thank you John G

Best Italian restaurant in town, very cozy place, you can bring your on bottle BYOB

We always ask as appetizers Eggplant filleto pomadoro and Fried calamari (top choices)
As the big entree I would recommend fettuccini Bolognese, any pasta in the vodka sauce, chicken Marsalla, gluten free pasta is very good. The chocolate soufflé is very rich.
Boonton could be tough finding parking but this part of the town there is always parking.

The BEST calzone I have ever had.
Thin, crispy, and a beautiful homemade dough solidifies their fresh ricotta and sausage broccoli rabe calzone. Cooked perfectly, with no burns, and served with a side of fresh house-made sauce. It doesn’t get better than this in Boonton, people. Eat here. Very Italian-Esque interior that no where in Boonton can match. Much love.

Home town atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food prepared by caring chef’s. Make reservations if planing to dine after 5:00pm. A very pleasant visit which we will recommend to family and friends. How did we miss the gem of a dining experience and very glad we found this wonderful restaurant in the heart of Boonton.

Family owned by real Italians means the food IS NOT “American Italian”… it’s delicious authentic Italian comfort food and they have the best sauce (not gravy lol… sauce). Pizza is awesome and tastes like real North Jersey pizza… like everyone craves from South Jersey down to Florida. Great job guys!! Thanks for being there for us during Covid-19 craziness =)
