Had the opportunity to stop into this combo pizza place and ice cream parlor for a photoshoot. Ahmed, Malik, Jasmine, Ali, and Haley at Top of The Cone in Plymouth / South Lyon all treat you like family when you come by and are ready to serve!
While the ice cream shop has been here for some time, they are also starting a pizza place with different pizzas, sandwiches, and fried foods.

Stopped by today with my family to have some ice cream and ended up getting lunch too! Amazing food, a lot of options on the menu, and everything made fresh. The burgers were one of the best I’ve ever had. Ice cream flavors are top tier and there’s so much space outside and inside to hang out at. Kids loved it and so did the adults. Definitely going to be a summer staple here!

I would leave zero stars if I could. An absolute joke of an owner who should be ashamed of himself. As if under paying teenagers wasn’t bad enough, the verbal abuse that his employees have endured is disgusting! The things this “man” has said to teenage girls is horrific! It’s very sad to see such a wonderful place go so down hill. Hopefully this rotten person will lose his business soon and then all who have suffered his wrath can finally say good riddance.

They have many flavors and many options on how to customize them. I had them make a milkshake out of Superman ice cream even though they’d never done something like that before and it was SO good! The entire staff was super friendly and offered samples if we weren’t familiar with a particular flavor. The seating area is nice with picnic tables, parking and a nice lawn area to sit on. There’s even a couple of beach-style kickback chairs in front if you just want to sit in the shade and watch the cars go by.

I only wish I could leave a review with zero stars. Food ordered and paid for at the drive through, parked and waited as instructed. After 15 minutes or so an employee came to say they were just starting the food and said not to park in the handicapped space, despite having a handicap license plate. It took another 20 minutes for the food and were told not to come back. Not a problem, the food isn’t worth the wait or dealing with rude staff.

Went here because I love their hard ice cream. When we ordered, the employee said they didn’t have any but would tomorrow…. 5 minutes later I walk up to throw away trash and see a different employee scooping hard ice cream and serving it to people.
The first employee was either too lazy, untrained, or overwhelmed by their ridiculous new food menu to bother serving the only item I come there to get. It’s their only point of difference from Dairy Queen.
There are plenty of other places to get ice cream, so I’m in no hurry to return to a place that won’t serve their best product.

Interesting that you keep deleting my review and blocking me on your social media accounts. I have yet to receive an apology or a response from the owner about my experience.
I’ve been a customer of Top of the Cone for years. Apparently they changed ownership some time ago, which is quite unfortunate. Tonight at the drive through, I overheard one of the adult workers mock me with a racist, nonsensical “Asian” accent. When I confronted him, he said he was only goofing off with his coworkers, a younger man and woman.
I am disgusted that anyone would treat a paying customer this way. Sorry, bro, it must suck to work at an ice cream shop at your ripe old age. Racism has no place in my community. I love that the owner’s family and friends are inflating their rating with positive reviews.
