I have probably passed Top Notch Restaurant thousands of times because. Since I live close to two other restaurants within walking distance I go to the others. I am happy that I stopped in on Sunday. I was immediately greeted with a smile by the owners granddaughter Mia. When I entered it was like a blast from the past. There were so many people inside enjoying their meals. It is a Greek owned breakfast restaurant that has an amazing menu. The selections are great! While I sat at this retro counter, two longtime customers heard I had never been there and they offered their feedback and they spoke very highly about the restaurant. They provided me with some great recommendations. One of them also talked about the the excellent work ethics of the Owners. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the Owners Chris, as I was waiting for my meal and we had a nice chat. I learned about his background, and he brought me a cup of coffee, and I ordered a veggie omelette which came with potatoes & pancakes. I am very picky about my omelettes but this one was perfect! The ingredients were very fresh. I can’t wait to go back again I have to take my dad there.

Situated between the Blue Top and Miner Dunn this too is a great food spot. Your classic Greek restaurant. Their lemon rice soup is creamy, which is the way I love it. The pork chop “sandwich” I got was ridiculously phenomenal. The service was great and to top it off you get a dessert. Red Jell-O for me. Looking for a Greek restaurant, with the paper place mat, and yummy food? Come here.

Food was delicious and the price made it feel like I was cheating them! Absolutely affordable with great taste and service. In this economy its hard to find places like that. I highly recommend this place 10/10 There double cheese burgers are delicious by the way!!!

It is TOP NOTCH!
I was warmly welcomed, the waitress was super nice. I ordered lemon rice soup but it was too lemony for me, she switched it for free with Cauliflower soup which was delicious. The food was good and fresh. It was sizzling, I wrote this review while I was waiting for my food to cool down a little bit. Yummy!!

The food is actually great, I put 4 stars only because the last few times going there, it’s the BLT Clubs are a bit lighter on bacon for some reason. I also need to mention the menus…one of the few places that has yet to raise prices. By today’s standard they relatively cheap.

“This family-run diner is a top-notch eatery offering American breakfast, lunch, and dinner options at decent prices. The menu is extensive, and the takeout service is reliable. I highly recommend the breaded veal cutlet with mashed potatoes, salad, lemon rice soup, and rice pudding for dessert. The food is delicious, portions are generous, and the staff is friendly. Vegetarian options are plentiful, and parking is usually available. This place has the best lemon rice soup in the area. The homey atmosphere and filling meals make it a must-visit breakfast joint.”

A simple family run diner. Clean. Decent prices. Large menu. I ordered once again takeout. My favorite entree: the breaded veal cutlet. It comes with mashed potatoes, a salad, choice of soup (I had the lemon rice) AND a dessert (I had the rice pudding).
$16 total with tax.
The salad is basic but fresh. I chose ranch dressing and it was fine.
The soup is strong and hot. You can taste the lemon. It came with saltine crackers and two rolls. Very good.
The breaded veal cutlet was HOT and covered in the best gravy. The potatoes were also great. Definitely recommend.
Dessert was rice pudding. It came with a little whipped cream topping and cinnamon. Very good.

I had been here for dinner before, but I don’t remember what I had ordered or what I got. Me and my significant other went for breakfast. It was very odd because it was seat yourself. I’m not used to that at all. After we were seated, the waitress was maybe a smoker? Because she was constantly coughing even while she brought our food and our drinks. We had asked her several times if she was okay and she said yes. The server we had was very rushed about everything she did. I had ordered the country fried steak. I came with a side of toast, hash browns, and of course eggs. It was oddly served on three different plates. I could have been served on two. The Experience overall was not bad. The prices for everything are extremely cheap compared to other restaurants in the area! The food is actually really good for the price. I literally had no complaints about the food whatsoever!

Me and my husband went to Top Notch and the service we received was poor. Initially my husband ordered the walleye dish and I ordered the veal parmigiana. After placing our order, my husband asked the waitress to make the walleye to go and that he would like the 2 eggs 2 sausage 2 slices of bacon with pancakes for now.
Well, the waitress brought out the salads and soups that came with the meals. After a few minutes a different waitress brought out his 2 eggs 2 sausages 2 slices of bacon and pancakes.but not the Veal parmigiana, so I waited and wondered when would she be bringing my food, seeing that my husband had just about finished his meal, I was looking around for the waitress to come back.. finally the waitress came back to the table, but this time with a bag of food to go. I asked the waitress, where’s my food, my husband has finished his meal and I’m still waiting. The waitress said that my food was in the bag. Apparently the initial waitress was confused with the request, okay, I get that. The issue was when I told her that my food was to be eaten there, she opened the bag and proceeded to take the order out and saying to me that I could have it there, at this point, not only did I want it there or AT ALL.. I told her, just give my husband his to go order and that they could keep my meal. By now, I lost my appetite and felt pissed. So the waitress brings the order back and says “the manager said that the food was made and for us to accept it “… at this point, we have a bill with a meal that I told the waitress that I no longer wanted it there or and didn’t want it to go.
My husband and I asked to speak with the manager, so we’re sitting at the table waiting for a manager to come to the table, after no one came to the table, we went up to the register and asked the guy at the register if he was the manager, initially he said, yes and I started explaining the situation, he seemingly didn’t understand, so, I asked him, are you the manager, now he says, no. We asked again to speak with the manager, then, the waitress that gave us the message came over and said, I will take the food off the bill.
Oh, course, that is what you should have done in the first place, you had the meal back that I refused to accept after the long wait, after the mixup, why would you keep it on the bill.
So, no meal for me and no apology for the poor service.
This was definitely not TOP NOTCHED service.
Poor customer service.. never experienced this before.. highly recommend customer beware. … the nerve of them to insist that keep the meal….

I love the mom n pops restaurants. Everything was great. Of course, the portions were huge. Doggie bags(do they call them that anymore?) for sure. Great choice.
