Pleasant restaurant, oldies rock and roll. Clean and bright. Nice waitress. Food is wonderful, with tasty gluten-free bun and sugar free jelly. Extra napkins sit at the table. Coffee not too strong. One reservation on the texture of the egg omelet, as it was different to the pallet. They stated they mix 18 dozen eggs at once and strain! before they fix it. Sounds like cartoned eggs. Leaves for a smooth palate taste.

A very fun and diverse menu offering. Something for everyone, and the “shareables” were great! Good choices for drinks (alcoholic, non-alcoholic and softdrinks) and a loud and lively energy. Be prepared for a reasonable food wait, as they are a busy new restaurant. The owner came out and introduced himself and checked on our first experience!

My family used to LOVE this place! We would go almost every weekend! Tonight was our last visit…. Waited over 30 minutes for our water, another 20 minutes for our food to come out. My husband ordered an omelette with deep fried home fries and a side of sausage gravy, burnt grilled home fries came out( they brought out another order of deep fried) and the gravy had a crusty film on the top. We are extremely disappointed
Edit: Gave top notch one last chance and was disappointed again. I ordered the breakfast griddle and there was some red in my sausage gravy, I was told it was marinara sauce that had splashed but it looked more like blood(from raw meat) had dripped over my plate. I brought it to the owner’s attention (she was also our server). she brought me a new order, by time I got my breakfast my family had finished eating. I took my breakfast to go and when I got home the potatoes were very undercooked. We will NEVER be dining here again

I literally don’t know how else to put this….. everything was on point and I’m talking about from breakfast to Seafood and then the peanut butter pie ooh la la. Miss Martha who is the owner, is very caring and sincere with everyone. Solid customer service seems to only be valued commodity with people born pre-1995 I’m going to include some photos here just to let you see the love that was put into my meal and the appreciation for our patronage.

I don’t know what all the negative reviews are about. Their food is really good, the servers are kind, and they use real ingredients vs disgusting GMO ingredients. This place is the real deal!
I’ve been here a handful of times and enjoyed my food every time.
I don’t choose sides politically, it’s a shame that people refuse to try a place or bash a place because of political views.
To anyone interested in healthier and better food choices, this is the place. I’m glad to have found them.

Came in for the first time foe breakfast last Sunday. A little busy with few wait staff so we were seated a good while before being noticed. Food came out hot and quick and was very good. The decor leaves a little to be desired with some pretty bold political statements. It’s never good to mix business with politics as you run the risk of alienating a lot of paying customers.

I stopped at the Top Notch Diner this morning in Cortland, Ohio. I’ve heard good things and wanted to check it out. When I arrived, the parking lot was very ample, easy to find a parking space. I entered the restaurant and found the seat yourself sign. Seating options are tables, booths or bar, I grabbed a table. The menu is pretty awesome, breakfast, burgers, sandwiches & more. My server was very friendly & polite. I ordered the Scrambler, man was it tasty! I also enjoyed the very relaxing atmosphere, nice way to start the day. I really enjoyed my breakfast here. I would definitely recommend dining here.

Came to Cortland for the solar eclipse and stumbled across a great lunch spot called Top Notch Diner!
I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and my wife ordered the French Toast. These were both delicious! But my favorite thing was their French Fries. My god were these things mouth watering.
This was a great spot for families who are looking for a friendly environment. The staff were very nice and helpful with finding something we would enjoy from the menu.

Wow. I should cook at home? That’s a stupid thing for a restaurant owner to say. You’re right, I should have. I would have saved myself 30 dollars and had a good meal. Lots of places can please me. Obviously you have a problem because your building had 3 tables, 1 at least a regular, and you have more terrible reviews than good. As I stated, we used to speak highly of you. I can open a can of sausage gravy at home for way less and I can heat up stouffer’s for less and a better meal. I think next time we will go down the street to 4 star diner.
Out of many items. Food they did have was either pre-made or inedible. Husband got biscuits and gravy, and waitress literally stated they were from a can, and the biscuits were hard, so most likely frozen. I got special stuffed peppers with mashed potatoes. Potatoes were totally tasteless, not enough salt in the world to fix them. The stuffed pepper was inedible. The meat filling was almost cardboard, texture and taste. The only thing that had taste was the chunky spaghetti sauce over it. We used to go for breakfast, but never again. They “remodeled” recently so had dirty paper menu pages stapled together. They still had uncomfortable seating with cushioning gone and ripped. We will not be back.
