I hate the fact that I have to leave this review. I went to this place on Valentines Day and order to go. This was my first time patronizing this establishment. I ordered my food online ahead of me arriving. I ordered 2 sides of Mac n cheese and 2 sides on yams and I also ordered 4 pieces of cornbread. They told me I had to wait 10 more mins. I was already 10 mins past the pickup time but okay no problem 10 more mins is fine. I actually waited for a total of 40 mins???? I had to wait because I’m here at this point and I don’t live in the area in fact I live over 30 mins away without traffic. When my food finally comes out to me I asked the guy is everything here he said oh we ran out of cornbread???? I asked him if i never asked you was everything here you wasn’t gonna tell me???? He talking about it apologize, and ask me would I like something else I said no I already over waited for this and you want me to wait more that’s crazy. I stated to him you can just credit my card back. He said he doesn’t know if he can do that??? I departed the store and called them back to speak to a manager. I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of the other customers and thought it would be more professional to call. The owner got on the phone and apologized for the situation and said that my money was refunded and the guy was just confused. I said OK thank you. It’s now 2wks later and still haven’t been refunded. I just put a dispute in with my bank for the over charge of $12 for the cornbread I never received. I tried calling the store for the past 2 days and nobody answered. First off I think I was more than patience with this situation. It’s really not about the $12 It’s the principal of the situation.

I just purchased food from her like maybe 30 mins ago. I must say I am utterly disappointed compared to what I’ve seen on social media. We spent almost $70 on takeout, we got the wings, chicken and waffles, Mac n cheese and the famous collard greens eggrolls. The chicken was super greasy and still raw, there were even feathers still on some of the wings. I wish I had taken pictures before I threw the food out so you could see what I’m saying. I honestly don’t know what to think of the Mac n cheese but it was definitely not it. The eggroll wasn’t bad if I must be honest it was super greasy. You could see the oil dripping from every bite. My friend was super upset, we waited more than 30 mins after ordering just to be disappointed. Also the soda, we ordered 2 cokes. I thought we were probably going to get 2 cans. Instead the soda was poured out of an almost empty 2L bottle. One cup had significantly less than the other. My thing is there was literally no one in the restaurant and I’m not sure they had that many orders at the time as it was really early. I feel like they couldve done better with the fried chicken especially.

They were sold out of barbecue chicken, sweet corn and collard greens rolls. The honey glazed chicken wings didn’t have a taste. No seasoning at all. They were horrible. The fish doesn’t taste good like it used too when they were in Union. Maybe it’s a different cook ♀️. The shrimp, yams and string beans were Top Notch

The owner, she was the chef & came out to ensure all was well. Very nice ambience for there Thursday night karaoke.

I was trying to print my receipt to show you guys how much I spent. I would like to say I did not enjoy the food from this establishment. I gave the food to the first homeless person I seen. Myself and my boyfriend was very upset and I was highly upset because I paid for it. Smothered chicken, you would think that you want to get a boned chicken breast fried with gravy instead I got a boneless chicken breast with gravy and it was salty, The macaroni salad was wet, I know some people like to put kale in their collard greens however, I did not get any collards It was all kale. The macaroni and cheese was decent. The fish was over seasoned and the tenders that came with it was over season as well. Both the fish and chicken was cooked in the same grease I love soul food, but this was a bunch of chefs trying to cook soul food.

When looking for a place to eat and catch up with my friend, she came across Top Notch Soultry Delights. What caught our eye was their desserts that we couldn’t wait to try!
Ambiance/Parking: Located right off of 22, they have a sign in front of the path you need to make a right at. There’s parking right in front of the restaurant. Upon walking in, you’re greeted with purple walls and decor, desserts lined up at the counter, pictures, tv’s and music. Such a beautiful and clean atmosphere. There were menu QR codes at each table. They have four 2-seater tables in the middle and seating in the high chairs looking out the window. We visited on a Friday around 6 pm and there were only 2 other people dining in. A handful was picking up orders. If you’re dining in, you seat yourself.
Food/Desserts: I had to go with the fried shrimp and fish platter with 2 sides; baked mac and cheese and candy yams ($22). The dish came with hot sauce and tartar sauce. To be honest, the batter the shrimp was fried in was very salty and I don’t usually notice things like that but the salt was very dominant. The baked mac and cheese and yams were tasty and you get hefty portions! For the desserts, I tried their chocolate cake (amazing), banana pudding (soft and delish), and their dulce de leche cake (addicting)!
Service: The young lady that was our waitress was so nice, personable, and attentive. She asked us questions to make sure we aren’t allergic to anything. So nice!
Tip: Sign up for their email club and you can get a free mini dessert. The dessert is their choice. We were given the chocolate cake and the portion was HUGE lol!
Will be back!

Loved the food here. It was so good. It also came out hot. I ordered the smothered turkey wings with fried cabbage and Mac n cheese. The fried cabbage and Mac n cheese out shined the turkey wings. Everything was good!
I ordered banana pudding for dessert. I haven’t tried it yet due to the food coma from the entree. It was a bit expensive but well worth it. They pack those plates and wrap them well.
My co worker had the combination plate. Fried chicken and fish with cabbage, yam, and Mac n cheese. He said his food was delicious as well.
I will definitely be going back a few times.

She helped us customize a menu and was patient with all of our questions. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests have been raving about it ever since. We were on vacation and starving after a massage but wanted food food. Searched and found this restaurant. Everything was fresh! Fish and chicken fried after we ordered so pipping hot! The portions… so much food! As a southerner my heart was happy! Even every single customer that came in to get to go orders was just as friendly! Very refreshing. I’m not a fan of super sweet cornbread. That would be my only “complaint” but I still ate it lol! We appreciate the ladies accommodating us by staying open a bit later as we were dining in. 10/10 would come back!
