Casey our bartender was awesome. Really fun drink menu. Highly recommend the Good Vibration. The homemade tater tots are pretty yummy too.

Went here to catch their happy hour (monday – saturday 4 – 6pm) made it there 10 minutes until 6, they quickly got my order in so I could take advantage of the happy hour prices!
Got the chicken and waffles, fried pickles, al pastor tacos, one draft beer and one N/A beer for $40!
Tacos came with a side, we chose the tots which were THE BEST housemade tater tots I’ve ever had!!!
The portion of fried pickles was MASSIVE and had plenty leftover to take home.
The syrup on the waffles was also noteworthy.
I will definitely come back, especially for the tots!!
Thank you top hat staff!!

Lunch was fantastic! The Asian noodles, poke bowl and brussel sprout salad were delicious and fresh! We were running to the airport and the staff was so accommodating to get us out on time. I will definitely visit again when I’m back in Missoula!

We’ve come to you for so many date nights and always loved the food. When my mother-in-law visited last month, the first place we took her was for a burger here. Tonight was different. I threw my back out three weeks ago, so my partner picked up our burgers. I always order medium rare and it’s usually pink and juicy, but this time everything was overcooked. The bacon was so hard it couldn’t be bitten, and the tater tots were rock solid, impossible to break apart. Gave up after three bites. The bottom of the container was a pool of grease. This was supposed to be a date night meal, but it was really disappointing. meal, but it ended up being a real disappointment. I honestly don’t think this food should have gone out without being checked first. We’ve had such great experiences before, which makes this letdown all the more surprising.

After an afternoon walking around Missoula, we worked up quite the appetite and decided to try this spot for the first time. Great choice—it did not disappoint. The hot honey chicken sandwich hit the spot perfectly, the beer list is solid, and the cocktails looked like they were crafted with real care. The menu has plenty to choose from, but do yourself a favor and get the tots—these are nothing like the ones from middle school lunch. This place is well worth a stop when you’re in town.

The food was incredible, especially the brussel sprouts, but the service was the worst I’ve had in a couple years. Whenever the bartender has to leave the bar during lunch time to wait tables, you know its going to be a bad time.

We sat in the bar because outside is farther from the kitchen, Sydney was our server- bartender and she advised grilled chicken on my salad , it was sooo good with green goddess dressing ! Hubby has an amazing curry soup and drinks were top notch! Definitely recommend!

I expected small plates based on the style of the menu, but the portions are big, so beware of over ordering! The fried pickles were a great appetizer. The soup was too salty for my taste but it might have been because I’d had my fill of salt from the pickles.
Great location and fun atmosphere, I’d like to come back sometime when they have live music.

We have now experienced three bad meals in a row at Top Hat over the past six months. I think management needs to work on quality control in their kitchen. Both me and my husband cooked in restaurants for years and frankly after today’s experience we won’t ever go back. Also know that I rarely leave reviews…
While the bartender was extremely hard working and pleasant, the food was horrific. Everything was burned, or had sat under a headlamp for far too long. When we are paying over $20/plate for a nice lunch out, the food needs to be edible. My husband couldn’t eat more than two bites of his food because it was so burned and he ended up sharing mine. I ordered lettuce wraps and the lettuce was wilted and brown. But that’s what we ended up eating. This was UNACCEPTABLE. As I said, the service was good, but someone should be checking in on the quality of the food.

Love this place! 45 minute wait to sit outside did not deter us from dining…we sat inside and our service was amazing. The young man waiting on us was home from Florida and he took great care of us. Our food was delicious and our beers, COLD. GRATEFUL for this meal break on our drive from Harrison, MT back to Spokane.
