I moved to Salem not too long ago. The first place I went to was Top Dog because I wanted to catch a game. To my surprise I had the best Chinese food I have had since being in San Francisco! To top it all off the service was impeccable and the bartenders are always so attentive! What I love most is they remember my name and what I order! Special shout out to Kayllie, she is always friendly, cares to make sure everything is good, and Johnny on the Spot!

I found this place in Salem after my fiancé moved up there for work almost a year ago. The food is great and reasonably priced. My favorite is the wimpy burger basket but the Chinese food is amazing!!!!! Ice cold draft beers which are served in frozen glasses. All the staff are amazing and very attentive to the customers. Kaylliee is absolute Rockstar, she knows what she’s doing and takes great care of all her customers. If your ever in the area, check it out.

Top dog is worthy of the 5 stars I give. First, the atmosphere is exactly what one wants from a sports bar. Lots of team memorabilia and neon throughout. We arrived to watch game 6 of the world series and the server put the game on right away.
Everything about Top Dog was immaculate. The tables, stools, chairs, booths were not all like new, no ripped upholstery, no matchbooks to level the tables and no sticky residew on the floors , seats or table tops. The men’s bathroom was also immaculate, clean, well lite and smelled fresh.
Our service was amazing. The bartender was the only one on during our visit. She was very attentive and extremely cheerful and happy, most of all she understood how to provide good service. Our order was prompt and our drinks were delivered within just a few minutes after ordering. She never needed to be reminded of any of our requests.
The food was very tasty. We had common bar food, 1 order of chicken tenders and 1 bacon cheese burger plus an order of onions to start with. It was served in a proper fashion and was hot and very well prepared and presented. The server checked back just enough to make sure we were happy with everything but not so many times that it was annoying. Our drinks were ice cold. Something that is getting harder and harder to find now.
We didn’t know that the place had closed while we were watching the final 2 innings of the game. Our server never once told us that they were closing, never pushed us in a direction to get going and never dropped hints that they were closed. In fact, she asked if we would like another round while we watched the end of the game and said take your time – no need to rush.
This was the best dining experience we have had in Salem hand down. And it was extremely refreshing to not be charged a king fortune and be treated like they were doing us a favor!
Thank you for such an excellent evening, we will debe coming back on a regular basis and will be recommending that all our friends go there too!

I arrived to meet a client to discuss potential new business. My client had to cancel, but I was graced with the absolutely delightful company of the famous bartender KayLeigh– She makes the place!! This was the best service I’ve had in many years. My new “go-to” spot — and the iced tea was the BOMB. Thank you for making what could have been a disappointment into a lovely day.

This place bills itself as a sports bar, but no one I see in there is ever there to watch sports: we’re all there for the rice bowls. And/or yakisoba bowls. They have regular bar food too. But I swear they could just unplug all the tvs. The bartenders are always friendly, and on it. Can’t believe I didn’t go to this place before this year, when I live nearby.

My server/ bartender Gabriel was great! super attentive and friendly also told me the history of the place and how the rice bowls all came about. Service was very fast and food was piping hot and fresh. Anthony is a great cook the food was perfect! Will be coming back again real soon!

Top Dog is a great place to cheer your favorite team on one of many flat-screen TVs. They also have basketball shoots, foosball machines, & lotto games. They serve American and Chinese food that is fresh and tasty. I had the 1/4 Polish Dog, it was grilled to perfection, and the toasted bun was a symphony of crackle. Yum!! Of they have a full bar and lots of beers to choose from. Happy hour every day from noon to six pm. The kitchen opens at nine am and serves two specials daily. Clean restrooms available, wheelchair accessible, cash and plastic acceptable. Customer service was friendly and professional. Whoof-Whoof I’ll be back for more.

Always great food. They have a lot of favorites from the original Eng’s Chinese restaurant. Staff is always friendly. They are also family-friendly, so bring your kids; they will love the food. Lots of TVs to watch whatever game is on.
