today, i was in the area and had the leisure to finally come and try it out. ABOVE AND BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!!
straight forward, no frills, just as i anticipated, just what i wanted ♡
i got the beef bop anniversary bowl with fried rice, kimchi, and crab salad. there’s 5 different sauces to choose from and endless combinations to make it your own.
will absolutely be back every time i find myself in the area
Unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the hype. Flavors were good, but the quality of the meats is incredibly sub-par. Thai teas were delicious, but with 90% ice it was a letdown to spend $5 on a 2oz tea. I had the mixed seafood “Dynamite” bowl, which tasted good, but was just salad shrimp, krab salad, and sides on rice. My older daughter had the shrimp katsu bowl, which was again just salad shrimp, ground up and breaded. My younger daughter had the chicken bowl, which was the worst of it. The chicken was spongy and mushy (pictured), and seemed almost like spam made from chicken. She wasn’t able to eat it, and the rest of us tried and agreed with her.
For the price ($18-20 per person) we expected much better. Theres a Poke shop just down the street that’s MUCH higher quality at a similar price. Will try this again if the ingredient quality improves.
You walk in and immediately feel like you made a good life decision. Build-your-own bowls, pick your heat level (thank you for saving me from myself), and they even bring out this little rice snack while you’re ordering. Instant good mood.
The food is legit. The drinks are solid. And the street art all over the walls is awesome — it gives the place a fun, energetic vibe instead of that boring “eat fast and leave” feeling.
My wife and I came here on a date and had a blast. We kept looking at each other like, “Yeah… this was the right call.” Great food makes dates better. That’s just science.
Service was excellent too — friendly, attentive, and they actually check on you instead of disappearing after the food shows up.
It feels like a fresh, modern kind of restaurant with Burmese-inspired flavors, and it totally works. Different in a good way. Fun, relaxed, and seriously tasty.
Loved it. Will absolutely be back.
I had a spicy chicken rice bowl with fish cakes and seaweed salad and deep fried sushi rolls. I chose the chili paste which was just spicy enough. The portion was quite big and there was plenty of chicken pieces. My hushand had a seafood rice bowl which he also likes. We will definitely go back again.
This is my 2nd visit and today we met the owner. Very friendly and kind.
I thought I would try something new but I loved my last choice so much I ordered it again!
