Food was sooooo tasty. The fried squash was amazing, fried okra was great, green beans just a tad too sweet for me, but it didn’t stop me from eating plenty. The lima beans were a hit and the corn casserole was perfect. I probably shouldn’t eat there daily, but definitely a special treat. Speaking of treat, I am convinced they have something special in their soft serve ice cream machine…it was creamier than any I have had.
One small note, if you are offended by religious affirmation signs, you should know that is the primary decor.
The service was attentive but not overdone. They have the perfect balance of southern charm and efficiency. I am definitely looking forward to going again and so happy my mother’s college roommate introduced this gem to us.

A lunch worth tooting about!
Tootie’s in Philadelphia, MS, Neshoba county is worth the drive.
Firstly, if you miss the turn as all of the cars obscure the signage, you will have to make the block to get back around. The parking lot is large, but full…always a good sign for good eats!
When you enter, you tell the hostess how many and you’re seated. You are introduced to your server, a name card is left on the table, order your drink and you are off to the buffet.
Frisbee sized plates await for you to fill to your heart’s, or stomach’s, content.
An assortment of seasoned vegetables, multiple entrees, gravies, and breads await you.
There’s a bountiful salad bar with all the toppings and dressings, there’s fruit(s) and, finally, a dessert section.
The vegetables are seasoned and savory. The green beans are sweet, with bacon in them. The field peas are just salty enough and Lima beans and green peas are tender and plentiful.
The fried chicken is your friend.
The country fried steak is out of sight.
In a stroke of genius, Tootie’s has smaller portion sizes. The country fried steak is halved or quartered. The friend chicken is cut up, it’s clear it starts as larger pieces but they are portioned smaller, breaded and fried.
This is genius because it allows you to try more things, less waste and maybe even not over doing it on food consumption, despite it being “all you can eat.”
Similarly, the serving spoons are smaller than normal. Now they are plenty big and you can get two scoops, but some bean-counter in the kitchen thought this through.
Even the bread items are smaller in size. Of course, you can make all the trips you want and load up, so it’s not a dirty trick. It cuts down on waste…
The red velvet cake is moist and the icing is amazing. The Oreo pudding is pretty good.
Choices of tea; sweet, un, 1/2&1/2 or lemonade.
Great, friendly service. Also, this place is busy, packed, crowded although virtually no wait and the lines move.
After you eat you pay up front. There’s a one trip/plate option for the buffet that’ll save you $3. Load up that frisbee disc of a plate and it’ll still be plenty of
Food!
You cannot leave here hungry. A sign on the wall says it is well in my soul, it is also well in your belly!!

11/5/2025. We were going to eat at the local casino for Wednesday’s special but they were closed for renovations. So we decided to find a nice restaurant nearby and asked a guy where is a good restaurant to eat at a buffet & he said Tootie’s. We’ll, Tootie’s was really nice to eat a country buffet! Everything was grand! The only thing that was a mishap, we asked for two apple pies one without icecream but she brought two with icecream and that didn’t work. They didn’t have any more apple pie. Everything else was great!! I would return again.

I came to Philadelphia looking for a place to eat.. stopped by Toootie’s MISTAKE!! My mom got the lunch bar, I got a bacon cheese burger w/ fries, waited about 10/12 mins or so.. got the burger, the meat was cut in half.. and had white meat in it, appeared to be chicken meat ground into the burger!! Didn’t eat it at ALL got to my car to further investigate, white meat all though out the burger patty! Took it back for them to explain.. he said it was “fat” in the meat! He asked did I want anything else, but the bar was underwhelming as well especially after the waitress scrapped the mash potatoes off the bar back into the pan!! Not 1 time did they offer my money back! $36.00 WASTE OF MONEY.. FOOD IS TERRIBLE! EAT AT YOUR RISK!!! Should have been less than a 1 star! Wish I could put the picture & video on here just you can see what a mess they made!

Thursday Night breakfast buffet reminds me of the Shoney’s breakfast buffet but WAY WAY BETTER! Tomato gravy, sawmill gravy, and chocolate gravy…… amazing! Pork loin, country ham, patty sausage, link sausage, chicken, and fried Bologna…. I’m telling everyone, IT’S ALL REALLY GOOD!

My son and I visit this restaurant this weekend for the first time. Let me first say the food was awesome. However when I arrived I asked the lady how much was it for the buffet and she told me $30 and 15 for my 10-year-old son. So, We decided to eat and as I stated the food was good. We had been there for a little while my son has asthma and the smoke started to mess with his asthma so he said Mom I think we need to go now. We had maybe seven peel shrimps sitting on the table. I was eating them as I was asking the lady to get me the ticket and I told her the smoke is messing with my son asthma we need to go now. She stated I’m sorry about that it’s normally not smokey back here. So we get the ticket go to the register and the lady said $52 and some change so I question her about the total. I said so the bar was 30 and my son was 15 She said yeah with the tax and stuff, I said okay. So I paid for the ticket but when I left I looked at the ticket not only was my child food not $15 it was $16 and some change and they charged me a $2 excessive fee. I’m not sure why we was charged the $2 excessive fee unless it was for those seven shrimp we left on the table which she could have told me and I would have said well give me a to go box and I’ll take them with me because the only reason we left at that time was because my son asthma was acting up as I stated previously. But my son food was $16 and some change plus tax and I was told it was 15 so that’s the reason I’m giving them a three stars. And the lady who work the register didn’t tell me after I asked her. It seems some unethical to me. I won’t be back for this reason. Please check your ticket before paying.
