I just tried to place an order. I’ve been going to Tony’s for 60 + years. The girl hung up on me the first time. I was ordering a sub the way I always do. I wasn’t done stating what I wanted on the sub and she was repeating it. She stated she couldn’t hear me so I screamed in the phone and she hung up again. This was 2/24 at approximately 1:15. I hope the manager read this!

Probably the worst sub I’ve ever had . Called in the order at 3:15 picked it up at 340, the 35 mins I was told it would take . Went straight home, about 1 mile , it was cold and the meat was soggy. Ask for mayo got miracle whip. Also got a small container of mac salad. Tital was 23.05 glad my dog enjoyed it. Will not be going back
Tony’s gas certainly gone down hill in quality.
Fyi, it was an All American sub.

Just ordered an Italian sub. Salami is not hard salami… hard salami is much darker and really cheaped out on the meat. The cheese was not fresh and worst of all the bread was soggy. This has never happened before.

I was at Johnstown for a business trip, met the owner of this place during a business event and that’s how I came to know about this place. We decided to stop by on our way out of Johnstown and was amazed with the taste, quality and service. Great sandwiches and the mac-cheese salad is a hero. The staff were very friendly and really appreciated the end to end experience. Strongly recommend this place.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve eaten here. The Italian Garbage sandwich was delicious!

I hadn’t had Tony’s Subs in some time. I have a Business in Roxbury as well. I heard they had a new Owner. I tried it and was very impressed! The bread was fresh and the sub was packed full of meats and veggies! The following week my staff put in an order for lunch. I tried the cold Chicken Salad Sandwich. It was DELICIOUS! The new extended hours are very convenient to stop in after work and bring food home. I’ve been told the Pizza is good, we are gonna try that next!

Ordered a sub as a walk in. It was busy. Five or six customers came in after me. A few were online orders. Everyone that came in after me received their orders. A half hour later I walked up to the counter only to find my order sitting there and the lady working the counter said nothing. When she saw me standing by my order she walked right past me and disappeared into the back. So I checked the receipt I had with the receipt in the order bag and it matched. I just took it and left. If I pulled this kind of stunt at my job I would have been fired. Thanks for the consideration. The sub was great.

I ordered a Italian 22 inch sub, they didn’t put the salami or the provolone cheese on. I didn’t find this out till I was already home. All the sub had was cheap ham and lettuce, pickles, sweet peppers, tomatoes and oil. The sub was soggy also! I wasted 16 dollars and change for this garbage. I have been going here since the 80s. It is nothing like the old school people and Tony that started this business. What a shame that these young kids can care less how to treat a customer!!! I wouldn’t recommend going to Tony’s subs!!

Best place for subs, ever ! Always fresh and just the way you have ordered them. The homemade buns are fantastic. We have been going to Tony’s for subs, macaroni salad, potato salad, pepperoni rolls, and Italian cookies for many years. Very friendly staff. Terrific place.

I’m not sure what happened to this place, but it wasn’t good. The bread was ripped to shreds – so, the contents weren’t going to stay in the sub… I guess that’s why they didn’t put any meat or veggies in there?
I use to love this place.. it was a weekly staple… now, it’s just disappointing to pay so much for so little And it doesn’t even look pretty.
