Were great. We also ordered the biggest pizza they had 24 inches, but we were disappointed that it fell apart when you would pick up the slices. All the toppings just slid right off. Photos is of the pizza. Had a thin and flimsy crust.
I eat this pizza almost every day when I’m home. And it never disappoints. Well, maybe very rarely if it’s an old pie that’s been sitting around, but this almost never happens because the demand is so high. I would say that I get a superb slice of pizza about 96% of the time, which is incredibly high for any pizza joint.
As far as the staff goes, one of the best in town. And in two languages.
The atmosphere is the epitome of a NY pizza shop. They nailed it.
Pricing recently spiked but it’s still basically a $5 meal because the pizza slices are so enormous.
I don’t eat much NC pizza outside of the Lake Norman area but Tony’s Pizza is by far the best pizza in Mooresville! The place in second isn’t even close.
First of all, I just want to share that we are super picky about our food. We happen to eat a lot of organic but when we go out, we enjoy trying new restaurants and unique places to eat.
My husband Pete took a chance by walking into Tony’s and he was pleasantly surprised. We happen to make incredible pizza at home with ancient grains & the best ingredients usually from Whole Foods, so we’re real finicky about our pizza.
The pizza slice he picked up by the way was huge! More like 2. And both the garlic knots & slice were delicious!
We are definitely going to come back and try more of the menu !
We notice on the soda cups two business names. “Forgot name” Pizza & Tony’s pizza.
I believe there may have been a ownership change, but check it out for yourself. The pies just seem different.
Normally, I only do positive reviews to reward good businesses with the intent that they stay in business.
I have been to Tony’s many enjoyable times, eat-in and takeout.
This time, I invited a first-time couple, and both of our pizzas came out way over cooked. Hard, dry, and tastless.
My (our) mistake was not immediately bringing it back to counter asking for properly cooked pies.
When leaving, I showed the attached picture to the individual who took my order.
Just blew me off.
Lesson learned immediately bring it to their attention and dispute on cc if not resolved
