Best sausage pizza around. Tony’s is one of the few places around using very tasty crumbled sweet sausage instead of tasteless sliced links. Dough is thin but holds it shape with pillowy crusty edges. Sauce is tasty too! House made fried mozz was good.

Im a Springfield native now living in the dmv for the past 30 years.i grew up eating Tony’s pizza and grinders. Every time I am in Springfield I make sure to stop by Tonys for in my opinion the best pizza in Springfield. This visit went a little different the reason I’m writing a review. I placed my order online for 1 cold cut grinder, small cheese pizza and a medium meat lovers add onions. Total was over $70. Get home with the pizza to see they forgot to add the onions to the meat lovers. I started to let it go but this happened to me the last time I ordered back in June and I did let it go that time. This time I wanted the pizza made how I paid for. I called back to let them know and the guy on the phone said bring the pizza back and they would make me a new one. I had not touched the pizza and I figured he wanted the proof it wasn’t made right. I drove back to Tony’s and showed the woman at the counter. The guy making pizza pointed her to my newly made pizza and made clear he was taking the first pizza back. We exchanged pizzas I said thanks and left. Now that I am home it made me think why not just give me the wrongly made pizza for the trouble of me having to drive back to the restaurant? What are they going to now do with that pizza he took back? I didn’t touch it but I could have. I felt like he was upset I asked for my pizza to be made right. Will this stop me from ordering Tony’s? No. The food is good. And the second pizza was made right. I still say it’s my favorite pizza in Springfield. The nostalgia took a hit today. I still love Tony’s but do people a little better.

During my recent trip to Springfield, I couldn’t resist stopping by Tony’s Pizza with my family of 12 (plus a baby, lol). I can’t even begin to express how impressed I was! The pizza was absolutely fresh, delicious, and more than enough to satisfy our large group. The wings were perfect too—just the right amount of breading, and the buffalo wings weren’t overly saucy, which made them even better.
But honestly, the best part wasn’t just the food; it was the incredible service we received. Despite our huge group, everyone was so kind, patient, and understanding. My mom, who’s been gravely ill, has always loved Tony’s, so I made sure to bring her a combo slice to the hospital after our visit. Even in her condition, she savored every single bite—it took her over an hour to finish, but she kept saying how delicious it was.
Thank you, Tony’s Pizza, for being amazing in every way. You’ve been our family’s go-to for over 30 years, and this experience just reinforced why we’ll keep coming back. You’re the best!

My first in-person experience at Tony’s was great. The servers are accommodating to menu changes for guests, friendly, and patient. The interior atmosphere was modern and clean. The food quality was almost perfect. The pasta was under al-dente and could have used a bit more time, but the meatballs, chicken parmesan, and bread were well prepared! I really enjoyed the raspberry vanilla cake with whipped cream frosting for desert. My pineapple coconut rum cocktail was properly balanced. I plan to visit and/or request delivery again soon!
