When visiting the Monroe/Cranbury area, not always easy to find a good dining spot. Well, we found one! TOK by S starts you out with some nice bread/focaccia with roasted vegetables. We then had a grandma style (they all are) Sicilian white pizza with eggplant, mozzarella, caramelized onions, and a touch of burrata. Very tasty. Almost a Detroit style. We continued with a nice arugula salad, a pasta special with smoked mozzarella and Italian sausage, and 2 chicken dishes. Fresh ingredients, large portions, and friendly service in an inviting space with an OK (IYKYK). My only comment for the suggestion box is that they lose the “Open” sign in the front window. I felt it took away from the class of this inviting neighborhood joint! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

The food is amazing. Everyone that work there is amazing. The owner Tony made my dinner that night and it was perfect. It wasn’t even on the menu but he made my dinner exactly how I wanted it. I couldn’t have asked for a better dinner experience. I am not from the area but I will definitely be going back when I’m back in the area. Don’t hesitate to go to this restaurant. Just go and you will enjoy an amazing Italian meal.

Came here for lunch. Relatively quiet bc it was lunchtime on a Wednesday. Waitress was friendly. I ordered the cauliflower pizza with broccoli. I dont know how they do it but the cauliflower crust tasted like a regular pizza crust. Delicious! Typically priced like all other restaurants. I did like that the menu offered half sizes for lunch and full sizes for dinner. We live in NY, the food was just as good as Staten Island Italian restaurant food. Will def come back to try for dinner.

This place was one of the best Italian places I’ve been to. The food was unique and tasted amazing. And the staff makes you feel welcomed and it was very personable as the owner talked to you and made sure you liked your food. Will be going back many more times!!!

This place was so amazing. Little hidden gem that just opened up. Ordered an appetizer and the specials. So delicious. We ordered desserts and those were so good they bring them out on a tray so you can pick.
Highly recommend going here!

Overall the restaurant is very nice and open.
Tony greeted and sat us right away. The servers took awhile to get to us, seemed like they did not know whose area it was.
They had lasagna as a special but did not have any left so had to get the chicken parm. Usually a can’t miss, but wish I did.
Rest of family loved their meals.
The bread was fresh and delicious.

My daughter ordered “Linguini Venere”, it’s linguini with scallop meat and shrimp. I tried one scallop meat, it had strong odor when I smell it, but taste ok, I ate it anyway. After I got home, google told me,
“A strong ammonia smell (similar to urea or a foul odor) in scallops is usually a sign of spoilage, indicating that the protein has broken down and produced ammonia gas. It is not recommended to eat them. While this can sometimes be due to improper freezing, if a strong odor is detected, they should be discarded for safety reasons. Fresh scallops should have a faint seawater or sweet taste.”.
