This is the closest place to eat where we are and also need to use the restroom. So we did order and ask to use the restroom and the cashier said they dont have any and have to use the barbershop. Kind a odd that they serve food but no restroom for costumers. And they prepared their food and sandwiches with no gloves on. I lost my appetite. We paid 25 bucks for tiny salad and 1 sandwich not worth it. I will never go back to this place.

I loved the spinach and cheese ravioli!!!
!! I have always drove past this place and never knew about it. So glad my coworker recommended it. Will be coming back to try other foods. The lunch special I got came with the ravioli, garlic bread, and a salad! Great Price too!

Really pissed about their pepperoni pizza for $16.99. It looked nothing like the photos posted online by other customers. Barely any pepperoni. The dough was 100% premade. The cheese didn’t even stick to the dough, it just separated and you could tell the dough was already cooked. The sauce tasted like marinara, not usual pizza sauce. I don’t even think they cooked it thoroughly by the color of the cheese. We got the submarine too, by far the thinnest and mediocre sub I’ve had. I called to complain and they put me on hold forever.

So prices have gone up since my last visit, but I have to admit, I’m not mad. Who’s prices haven’t gone up since Covid? It’s still a great value and they are definitely less expensive than some other sandwich spots I frequent.

Anyway, don’t get near Montebello as much as I would like anymore, so when I do, you try to grab a roast beef sando since it’s pretty unique here. The believe it’s still made on the store, so you are not getting sliced up deli meat that you can get anywhere. I was also craving a sub, so I got both which was a mistake. Two large sando’s for less than $18 is a deal, but I ate half the sub on my drive home, so I only had enough room for about a 1/4 of my roast beef :). Happy to have left overs, so all good there, but I definitely will gain weight if I order like I did.

Service is always spot on. This trip was a call ahead order which they said would be ready on 10 mins, but told them was 20 mins away, so they said they would hold off a bit before making so it would be fresh. How cool was that.

Best straight forward sandwich and prices in the San Gabriel valley for sure. I have a Italian sub option in another city when I need it, but Tony’s is my only spot for roast beef!!!!

I was a customer from back in the late 80s and was tempted to see if they were still good…YES THEY ARE! Staff and service are great. I called in an order, literally 10min before closing…walked in 2mins ’till and my sandwich was ready!

The first time my friends and I went to Tony’s for lunch. We were in high school. Now some 30 years!!?? 30 YEARS!!! Wow! The place is alway clean and people are alway nice!!! The sandwiches are tasty I get the New York sandwich with extra lettuce and the potato salad. The pizza is flavorful but a little oily good though. If your on Whittier Blvd in Montebello around lunchtime check them out. Think you’ll be happy you did!

100/10 I absolutely loved my sandwiches from Tony’s.

I remember my mom would come here when I was a child. I don’t really remember much about the food. Until recently, A friend of mine recommended that I come to Tony’s and order the 3 submarine sandwich special.

We went to a baseball game and he recommended this sandwich is the perfect sandwich to take to the game. Its delicious, its simple, it’s not messy, it’s perfectly wrapped in plastic. It was the best idea

I really enjoyed the bread made from scratch, the oil and seasonings, the freshly sliced deli meat and cheese.

It was a home run out of the ball park. Thank you Tony’s for making this the best experience!
