Finally got to try an Italian beef sandwich, and it didn’t disappoint.
Huge sandwich at a decent price. I barely had time to put my credit card back in my wallet that my order was ready .
The beef is juicy and delicious. I also liked the hot peppers. I had mine with extra american cheese but it didn’t really add much, the beef speaks for itself.

Tony’s Italian Beef
7007 S. Pulaski Rd.

4.8 / 5 for just the standard italian beef, no peppers, no cheese, dipped.

Total: $12.95 for an italian beef meal
+.40 additional for a large drink upcharge
+.40 additional for a large fry upcharge
+.90 additional for cheese on fries upcharge
Totalling: $16.22 after tax

2 people inside reading the paper on this Sunday afternoon at Tony’s on Pulaski. Excellent service from the staff.

The total for a large cheese fry, beef with no peppers, no cheese and a large diet RC was pretty reasonable in 2025 at $16.22 after tax and before credit card fee (2.55% fee making it $16.63 total). Clean and well kept interior, menu signage covers the wall in prices and options.

WOW!

The thin sliced beef is perfectly tender and full of flavor! You can see the sheets of thinly sliced beef still intact and without ruberiness! I am quite happy and pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of their beef!

Worth the 45 minute drive for the beef alone. The roll held up extremely well for being dipped, it provided no off flavors in the after taste, and still had a little chew left.
Cheese fries were amazing and well salted

Overall it’s pretty much a 5 star experience!

Incredible beef, everything one could want out of a local spot.

Pro tip – if you order it with hot peppers they come on the side. I was too excited and forgot to check, ate the whole thing without realizing

I ordered a breaded steak sandwich. It was excellent. Just tell them easy on the red sauce. Overall the steak was darn good. Next time I’m gonna order the jumbo steak sandwich. The restaurant was spotless and the associates were very friendly. Try the fries. Top shelf

Its been decades since I had a breaded steak sandwich. To give you perspective, last time I had a breaded steak sandwich was in early 1990s when there was a Ricobenes on Lake Street in The Loop, at street level, downstairs from a Nevada Bob’s. If you know about this, then you are Gen X!!

This place was recommended by a close friend and it was fantastic!!! It’s a solid 4.6⭐️s!!

From what I recall, this breaded steak sandwich is just about as tasty as I have had since Ricobenes. Tony’s is excellent and messy as I have expected. Its very filling and well worth the price.

Also tried their italian beef, which was very good indeed. Balanced spices and saltiness was all there!!! But I do have my favorites that I lean on when I really need a fixin!!! But this was very good nonetheless.

This neighborhood joint is small and has limited seating, but the friendly staff made the dine-in meal a pleasant experience, albeit a bit confined. Most patrons order take-away. Will try to make it out again next time I am in the Midway area.

I drove in from the northwest suburbs to try Tony’s Italian Beef. Wow, it’s the real deal! The service was super friendly and fast, and the Italian beef sandwich… wow. Juicy, flavorful, and just hits the spot. Definitely makes my top five Italian beef spots in the Chicagoland area. If you’re a fan of Italian beef, this place needs to be on your list.

Food was excellent! Had the beef sandwiches but they have a very large menu. If you are looking for a place to sit down and eat this is not it. Very limited seating main spots to wait while you are waiting on your food.

Been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint. Service was great and waiting time isn’t long, I would definitely recommend the Italian beef combo, and the Mexican grilled chicken sandwich if you’re looking for something more spicy. Overall fantastic experience and I highly recommend coming to Tony’s.

This place eliminates the convenience of take out food completely. Major reason people order for pick up is so that food is READY to eat. Come to find out I have to prepare and cook the 3lbs of Italian beef I ordered for a Friendsgiving potluck. Very inconvenient and impractical to say the least. For about $15/pound I would expect my food to be DONE when picking it up. First and last time ordering from here.
