If you are on I-75 in Michigan near Birch Run Rd and what to try some great food. Stop at Tony’s Restaurant for some fast service, great people, and real good food.
We stopped for brunch and I had the BLT and my wife had the French Toast with a side of scrambled eggs.
The food was very good and more than we could eat so of course we got to containers.
Also try there home made Cherry jam.
You will not be sorry you stopped.
I strongly recommend Tony’s.

Holy pastrami, Batman! This place is absolutely awesome! Even though the restaurant was packed when we arrived, we were almost immediately seated, which was a great surprise. The staff was super friendly and attentive the entire time, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.
Now let’s talk about the food—wow. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and you can tell they really care about quality here. From the first bite to the last, it was one of those meals where you’re already planning what you’re going to order next time before you even leave.

We ordered our food. My friend got his food and was half way done B4 I got my fish. Fish doesn’t take long to fry and it was mushy. I ordered there 1 pound of bacon to go and it says on there menu (a pound or more) I weighed it and it weighs only just over 6 oz. WITH the container so shorted me 10 oz

Tony’s didn’t disappoint. Large plates of food cooked perfectly. Fresh home made strawberry jam with homemade bread. Everything each person in our group ordered. Was amazing. We have been coming to this restaurant since I was a young boy over 30 years. The food has always been outstanding. As always I can’t wait to go back and get more. Thanks for having a great staff and dealing with so many people and still be on top of there game.

The portions here are huge! Can be good or bad depending on who you are. For myself and girlfriend it’s nice to have leftovers of (good)food. Came here for the first time yesterday.
My girlfriend got the Turkey club and Mac n cheese. Her only complaint was that both items were a bit Salty. Well, with all that bacon and turkey that’s kind of a given. Added black pepper on the Mac to round out the salt. It was still good. She ate half and took the rest of that beast home to eat the next day. I got the Big Beef burrito. What really made this burrito great was not only does it have double the meat. Their homemade burrito sauce really wrapped it together. I pretty much devored that entire burrito leaving just some tortilla behind.
At the end we tried a slice of Red velvet cake. There were some dark spots deep into this big slice of cake. Which to me looked like moisture before it was refrigerated/frozen. It was a little disappointing not getting a fresh baked slice but it was good. Thick red velvet cake with a really smooth cream cheese frosting.
Our waitress was extremely patient with us as we looked at their large menu. We took our time ordering.
Entering the building reminded me of an old shopping center but going inside you get this old school diner vibe. Parking was kind of weird as I had to park at a gas station right next to the diner.
All in all. I hope we venture back north sometime soon so we can stop here again.

OMG! The portions they give you are humongous. I love this place. The bacon, bacon, bacon! I can’t believe how much bacon I got. Line was long getting in but it was worth the wait. Don’t go to Birch Run or Frankenmuth without dinning here. You won’t be disappointed.

Food was pretty terrible. I get it, you have 1/4 lb of bacon on a sandwich, but there wasn’t much else on it. There was one tiny dot of mayo, and 1 slice of tomato. Not really a BLT if the only thing you have is bacon. Ordered a olive burger, again no mayo, all they did was put some random olives on top of a burger and call it an olive burger. It sucked. The wait was long . Our table was dirty .The only good thing from this place was the Calamari. The fried calamari was good. Nothing else was tho.

Great little spot that serves huge portions of delicious food. A side of bacon is nearly a pound of bacon! Be hungry when you come here! I’ve only had their breakfast but everything I’ve had is delicious. The French toast is made with their special Italian bread. Cut super thick to give their French toast a special twist. Comes with a house made strawberry jam and whipped cream.
I’ve never had to wait for a table here even when the parking lot is packed. The restaurant building itself isn’t anything special but you can sit at the counter and watch the chefs cook or you can have a table/booth.

Tonys- Nothing has changed since I came here 20 years ago, which means nothing has changed since my grandma started coming here back in the day. The service was fun- My sisters and I had a waitress come up several times that wasn’t even our server, but she liked our style and was chatting about some of our accessories. So sweet and personable! Our actual server was on top of everything, and the food was just as you expect. I can say that the French fries were kind of flavorless, but we all know that the salt in the Pound of bacon makes up for that. I just need to remember to get a different side next time.
