I ordered the 50/50 to go — half French dip, half pastrami. The sandwich was okay overall. The pastrami side had good flavor, but the French dip part was a bit bland and could’ve used more seasoning or au jus. The staff was super nice and friendly, which I appreciated.
Only downside was they forgot my potato salad side, which was a little disappointing.

Randomly stopped by here for lunch, as I was in the area for something else. Nice little local sandwich shop with plenty of seating. I got thee 50/50 option and it was really good! I enjoyed trying out two options instead of one and the price of about $12 was quite reasonable. Would recommend people coming by to try this place out.

Glad I found Tony’s French Dips in Downtown Pomona. I was lucky enough to meet the owner that still makes the sandwiches the right way. They have been open since the 1950’s and still serving the Pomona community with their amazing sandwiches. I had the 50/50 Pastrami and Beef dip, both are amazing the Pastrami with mustard and pickles had to be my favorite and the dip was perfect! Come to Tony’s French Dip!

Are you kidding me I have been looking for a French dip to die for and this is the place! They’re better than The Hat! They put more meat in your French dip and they’re not as expensive. There is so much history here it’s amazing!

These sandwiches were out of this world. We were instantly greeted by a friendly and humorous staff that made us feel right at home. There are many food options and you can’t go wrong with any. The sandwiches were carefully crafted and they melt in your mouth with every bite. The Roast beef is high quality meat. Super impressed. A very family friendly, clean, and fun environment.

First time customers. We looking for a great sandwich shop and a review by a foodie. He claimed the beef dips here rivaled Phillip’s in LA. We had eaten there and were very pleased and wanted to know if his claim was true. We weren’t disappointed, the sandwiches exceeded our expectations. My beef dips was loaded with meat and cheese, the flavor was amazing. The dipping sauce was perfect, not overly salty. My wife was amazed at the flavor and abundance of ingredients on her Grinder. Both were only able to eat half. The two women running the place were cheerful and helpful. They both had amazing customer service. Looking forward to returning to try other sandwiches and the sides

This place is amazing — a little old-school gem. The roast beef dip is juicy and tender. The staff is friendly, and service is fast. The prices are great for what you get. Definitely my go-to for comfort food.

Cool old building and friendly people. Problem for me was the food was really unremarkable. I thought the roast beef was dry and small portion. Bread was not fresh either. Worst part was the au jus, it was so watery, nearly clear. Pastrami was mid. Overall can’t recommend going out of your way for this.
