Stopped in while on a road trip. Food was great. Relaxed small town diner atmosphere. Chicken fried steak was delicious. Husband had Turkey and dressing. We would definitely recommend stopping by.

It’s a basic Texas menu. What is special about this place is the quality of what they serve. Everything was cooked right, from our fried eggs with thick bacon to the grits and chicken fried steak. The buttermilk pie we finished with was exceptional! Quality truly Texas food.

Family restautant for some comfort food. Upon entering you are greeted by a caged monkey. Then find your own table. Check out the daily specials which are also on their facebook page. Selected the turkey dinner which was one of the specials thay included stuffing and cranberries. Then selected two sides, I had the mashed potatoes with gravy and corn. Large portion that I couldn’t finish, but now have lunch for tomorrow. The stuffing had a consistency that wasn’t familiar to me. Finished off with a slice of lemon meringue pie. Will go back another time.

Been half a dozen times, but waited till now to write a fair review. They excel at some things and lack in others. Food quality: 3- to 4-star. Breakfast bacon not so good, but on a BLT in afternoon it was fine; chicken-fried steak pretty good. Service: very good at 4-star. Hosts are friendly, prompt, thorough and frequent. Ambience: 3-star; it’s a diner off the interstate and looks like one. Cleanliness: perhaps surface clean, but I’d be interested to see the kitchen grill. Price: 4-star. They honor military and senior discounts. Overall: 3-star

16 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. 45 minutes total from the time we ordered til the food arrived. Chicken fried steak dinner and a patty melt. The chicken fried steak had just enough gravy to cover the middle of the steak. Neither had any flavor at all. A ton of salt and pepper made it a little better. My wife’s patty melt was a very sad thing all it’s own. The meat was almost thin enough to see through. The tater tots were ok at best when they were hot but very quickly became terrible. I had to go to the counter to ask for ketchup although we had tots and fries. We got one glass each with no refills. Then we had to listen to someone in charge yell at one of the cooks in front of a semi crowded dining room. Sealy is a small town and that is the only reason such a place could stay in business as long as they have. Even the little Chinese buffet in town is much better. Hell, I’m sure the local Jack In The Box is better. I am 99.999% positive we won’t make this mistake again!

You’ll never leave sad. Breakfast for dinner, pie and coffee, whatever you want, they got it. My fave is Liver/Gizzards. A hard-working Mom needs that when her iron is low and they are faithful to have it on the menu. Also kid friendly. My children love it there.

I had not been in the restaurant in several years. I recall it being good food. This visit on Sept. 1, 2023 was a disappointment. My food was very bland. I ordered the patty melt. Service was very slow. Waitress was friendly, but slow. They seemed short staffed. I watched a big white man yelling at kitchen staff where the customers could see & hear his tantrum. No wonder they are short staffed. Can’t imagine working at a place where a fat man (probably a manager) yelled at the help. Appalling to say the least. I won’t be returning, ever.
