Tony’s Darts Away – Review:

Tony’s Darts Away is a lively, casual spot known for its fun, relaxed atmosphere and pub-style menu. It specializes in comfort food like burgers, wings, and sandwiches, often paired with craft beers and cocktails. Guests appreciate the friendly, welcoming vibe, making it a great place to hang out with friends, watch sports, or enjoy a night out. The portions are generous, and the flavors are solid, though it’s more about hearty, satisfying meals than fine dining. Overall, Tony’s Darts Away is a go-to for casual, fun dining with good drinks and a social environment.

Staff was … and seemed to feel the need to remind me repeatedly that they were not a full bar even though the first thing I said when I walked in the door was ” I know this is a beer bar,”. The response from the bartender after requesting jukebox change was just rude and to be quite honest the beer I had was a bit “skunky”. The food was delicious, prompt and hot. I will not be back.

Genuinely great food and awesome beer selection. A great Burbank crowd with good music and incredibly affordable menu. A huge variety of options for both vegans and meat eaters alike! I got the vegan banh mi – so so good. Husband got the chili hot dog – was amazing quality! Def recommend.

I had a great time at Tony’s. I was there with a few friends and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. They have a lot of vegan options but also non vegan options. My friend got the Korean bowl with the pork belly and it was delicious. They also have a wide selection of beer. It’s a great place to hang out if you have never been. I’d recommend checking it out.

This bar focuses on local California beers and has a casual, friendly atmosphere. The vegan sausages are surprisingly good and pair perfectly with a pint. The interior is cozy, with lots of wood accents. It’s a relaxed spot without the Hollywood scene. Perfect for beer lovers

Amazing vegan food reallyreasonable prices for decent-sized portions. We had the vegan SW BBQ salad and the vegan Korean bowl and both were excellent. Great atmosphere and choice of board games. Bring stickers to decorate the restroom wall (but not the mural). Note that this location does not have a liquor licence and only sells beer and wine. We parked on a residential side street no problem.

Great neighborhood bar. Almost the entire menu can be ordered vegetarian or non-vegetarian! Excellent beer selections, especially for those who enjoy malty over hoppy beers. The camote fries taste like they came straight out of my childhood. Definitely recommend, and will be going back again soon.

Wish I could rank it SIX STARS. The Korean bowl had amazing flavors and just enough heat. The stout and the brown ale I had were super flavorful. The darts were fun. The bartender was super kind and good for a friendly chat. Glad I got this recommendation. Less than ten minutes from the airport.

Great selection of beers, including one of my favorites, Golden Road hefeweizen.
Good food is a level up from typical bar food with vegan options for most menu items.
Service is a little rough as you need to order at the bar, so if you sit outside, it’s a lot of running in and out.

Tony’s is a phenomenal place to go for casual conversation, to watch the big game, to experience true micro-brew heaven, to play pool or darts with your peeps, and lastly, to experience true gastronomical bliss.

The beer: Tony’s has a full page of their menu devoted to Caliifornia brewed, craft beers. The selection is terrific, from no fewer than 15 IPA’s, to stouts, Irish-style reds, and Belgian-style blonds. They have it all, and the flavors are great. That also have hard ciders and wines.

The food: Oh, the Food! We are vegetarians, and I love to go out and have a beer with my dinner. Unfortunately, very few pubs have food that I can eat. Tony’s is not one of them.

We ordered the vegetarian bean chilli as an appetizer that we shared. It was really good! My wife makes a mean veg chilli, and this compared very favorably. She even admitted it. (Shhh!)

My wife had the vegan bahn mi sandwich, which was made with vegan pork. It’s also available with real pork, and it comes with homemade potato chips. The flavors were divine. The chips stand on their own, as they were thicker than traditional chips, and not greasy at all. I wish had their recipe! My wife told me that her bahn mi was the best sandwich she has EVER had. I tasted her sandwich, and it was indeed very fresh, and flavorful. But best ever is heavy, and her beer may have been doing some of her talking. (shhh!) Don’t let this diminish your chances of trying the bahn mi, as it is fantastic.

I had the Italian Stallion vegan sausage sandwich. You can get this with real meat Italian sausage, too. I added chips and a side salad for $2 extra. This was a really terrific sausage. It was very flavorful, spicy, and the texture was spot on for a sausage. I probably haven’t had sausage in a restaurant more than once or twice since I became vegetarian 6 years ago. And let me be frank (no pun intended), they were not good, like, at all. The flavor was bland, the texture was mealy and blah, and they had no spice. You get the picture.

If you’re within 62.6 miles of Tony’s, you need to do yourself a favor and get your arse over there! Do it, and take your friends! Let’s make sure that neighborhood places like Tony’s that value their customers by giving them great food and drink and a great place to gather, stick around.
