Loved the decorations being a big Michigan fan. Small location but big portions. Couldn’t have asked for a better dine in experience. Got two adult meals and two kids.

This is some of the best bbq in the entire region. Their house made bbq sauce is delicious. All the meat was tender, especially the ribs. It was a very clean establishment, nice music playing. Chris was a very nice & attentive host. All around great experience.

Outstanding service and food, a real culinary delight hidden in the hills of Hollowayville. A bit of a long drive from our home in Florida….but this place might actually be worth it! Yeah, it’s that good!

Okay, this is just my husband and my experience for the first time stopping in the atmosphere is about what you’d expect for a BBQ place, the service was good she was the only one working, so it did take some time for some things but she got our food out in no time. Great attitude. Okay, now the food. The sweet tea is okay, it wasn’t bad I could still drink it and she even asked if I wanted something else and i told her i could drink it. Everyone else probably loves it (I’m just picky with my tea). We did get there at 11:20 a.m. so pretty much right when they opened. What we ordered was the pulled pork (we think it was leftover from the night before, which is fine, but it was dry and didnt have any flavor. It had to have sauce on it. Which out of all sauces, we loved the Moonshine one the best and the Mustard sauce, beef brisket was very moist but we couldn’t taste any smoke or rub, to us it tasted like a very expensive roast but we did still like it. The hickory smoked baked beans, this was our least favorite did not care for these at all tasted to us like Van Camp pork and beans with some weird flavoring added, the fried potato salad, now this was our absolute favorite thing i dont know what sauce they use but we loved it so do get this and the bacon green beans were good also husband thought they were from the night before cause he said they were dry to him, yes he might of been right but I still liked them. I would also like to point out we did call ourselves out and say we think we are BBQ snobs, we feel that with BBQ you shouldn’t need sauce it should have enough smoke and flavor the sauce should be something to just dip or to complement the meat. If you do stop in, I’m sure it will be better. But it was an hr+ drive for us, so we don’t think we’d go back.

I want to preface this by saying I was really hungry and forgot to take pictures 🙁
My husband and I had heard about this place from a customer at another bbq place we frequent often and decided to make the 50 min drive to try it. First, know that they don’t serve alcohol anymore. This didn’t bother us because we were there for the food, but I know some folks would want a drink with their bbq.
We tried the potato skins with the brisket on it. Delicious. Brisket had a great taste but was a little on the dry side.
For dinner, my husband got the 1/2 white meat fried chicken and the baked beans and green beans. We both agreed it was the best fried chicken we’d had in a REALLY long time. Not greasy, crispy, just the right amount of breading and the chicken was moist and flavorful.
I had the 3 meat sampler and chose the ribs, smoked meatloaf and brisket. First of all, I ordered the meatloaf because it intrigued me and I’m so glad I did. It was AWESOME. And this is from someone who really doesn’t like meatloaf. Ribs were tender and had a great flavor. I’m not a brisket fan personally but my husband said it was really good too. You MUST try both sides I got; the Mac and cheese and ESPECIALLY the fried potato salad.
Lastly, the staff is great there. I think one of the owners was the hostess, extremely nice and chatty. Our server, Brie, was such a sweetheart and very good at her job. Great at giving recommendations to the newbies.
Personally, we thought the price was extremely reasonable for what we got. Will definitely be back!

Service was on point all the way.
Food was OK+.
Had garlic mashed potatoes, bacon green beens, baked beans, mac’n cheese, pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich and half a rack of ribs.
Pulled pork and brisket was a bit dry, but ribs were moist and fall-off-the-bone tender.

I saw this place featured in a good challenge video (thanks Katina). I was lucky to find is only an hour from home. The food was great and our server (Bree) was super nice! The fried potato salad did not disappoint! The smoked meatloaf was really good and unique. If you save room for dessert the Texas sheet cake was awesome. 10/10 and I hope to make it back again soon!

We decided to have lunch here because they have a very nice casual outdoor seating area that is very handicap accessible.
The parking was convenient and plentiful the place was very clean and our waitress was outstanding. There was a guy playing guitar and singing on the outdoor patio area, he was very good and gave 100%
Our orders were ½ mixed fried chicken with mac and cheese & deep fried corn, a tropical rum burger with deep fried corn and a pulled pork sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes. We tried to order the garlic cheese curds but she said they ran out. When the ½ white chicken was ordered she said they were out of legs would it be ok if they substitute a thigh for the second piece of dark meat I said sure then she brought out 3 thighs and a leg and said the kitchen misunderstood the order and the white meat would be out in a bit. It came out as we were waiting for our bill. The Tropical rum burger was very good and it was enjoyed very much. The deep fried corn must be an acquired taste and texture and was lost on us. The pulled pork sandwich and garlic mashed potatoes were both very good.
Since we are going through a pandemic I am conscientious of safety recommendations being followed. Our waitress was wearing a mask, however when I went in to the restroom I noticed she was the only one of the staff that was.

Great little place! We live around the area and this is the first time we dined here. Food was great! Had the st. Patrick’s day special, corned beed with cabbage, potatoes and carrots and the fuzzy leprechaun cocktail. Hubby had the beer bacon cheese double burger with fries. Everything tasted sooo good. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly! Can’t believe we took so long to try it out. 100% recommend! Will be coming back really soon! ❤️

This was a last minute opp to have dinner tonight.

The company was great but the food was mediocre and that’s a generous statement.

The service was okay and they were friendly as were greeted warmly at the table.

I ordered the combo of a 1/4 of STL Ribs and the Brisket. For the sides, I did their cole slaw and the garlic mashed potatoes. The ribs were of course smoked but not tender at all. The brisket was a bit greasy and sliced thin. The Cole slaw was good but the garlic mashed brought nothing to the table especially with no taste of garlic.

The 4 sauces were ok and I really couldn’t tell which is which because the bottles were not labeled.

There is plenty of parking but I’m not in a rush to go back there anytime soon. It’s one of those places where you’d settle to come here since it’s close but commit to a drive to find better bbq.
