This was my first time here. My husband had saw the restaurant mentioned on social media. We don’t live far so we figured we’d try them out. The young lady who took our order was friendly and answered our questions. It was picking up as more people came in after us so we expected a small wait. We were taking our food to go. Not a long wait. About 15-20 minutes.
I got a single cheeseburger and it was to have a sauce on it. I couldn’t taste it. I added mayo and ketchup at home. The meat was burnt. The bun was okay. I ended up throwing the sandwich away.
The fries were nothing special. I liked the cut of them but they definitely needed salt and ketchup. They didn’t stand up on their own.
Would we go back? No.

Was excited to hear about this place. And planned ahead to make a special trip. Upon entering it seemed a tad dirty and not cleaned up in a few days, I get it, it’s winter, but if you got time to lean you got time to clean. I love a small and easy menu with good stuff so yay. Kids loved their burgers and fries but they were out of Chx nugs. My burger was overall good. Nice fresh ingredients, perfect smash patty, sauce was good just needed more. The bun was too big for one patty but I barely finished my burger with the one. Not sure why the ketchup and mustard bottles were out and about but almost empty. My son was about to use the ketchup from those squeeze bottles and it looked bad. Guys cooking were cool. I’m glad we went but for the price and few nit pickety issues I wouldn’t go back. Should have went to brassica, their fries are better.

If ever you want a burger that has touched the 7th ring of hell and made it back to to tell the tale, then this is the place for you! My wife stopped for takeout here to try it. It’s nearby and I’m always looking for a good burger. She ordered the double burger for me, a mushroom burger for herself, and a grilled cheese with a burger patty for our daughter. I don’t know if the grill is set to “inferno” or if they cook with napalm, but these burgers were scorched like they had been damned. Charcoaled edges and even the middle of the burger carried that seared, burned flavor. I’ve always wondered what incinerated meat tasted like. We spent $62 to find out. Save your money, this place is not on point.

Got a single smash burger and it was so burnt I couldn’t enjoy it. I love smash burgers and expect that they are fully cooked, but this was just extreme. Fries were good, however. Based on other reviews, I don’t think this was a one time issue. Ambiance was bland, service was fine. Won’t be coming back anytime soon, but willing to check it out in the future if they make some changes.

Being a resident of the community and trying to patronize the area, I walked into the restaurant and was getting ready to order my food. When I walked up to the enlarged menu, I had a rude interaction with the server, I asked for the #8 burger on the menu, and I was told from the server that “This is not a McDonald’s.” I was taken a back by his response, by the person who was communicated to me because he made assumptions about where I would go to eat but also it made me feel humiliated as a customer whose first time coming in and also the last time. However as a senior citizen of Shaker Heights, I was hoping to come into this place and have a wonderful experience of enjoying a nice burger of what I exactly wanted, the interaction is not what I expected and I am highly disappointed at how he responded. When I received my food, I thought to myself that I should look into it and see exactly if things were correct but unfortunately all of the ingredients were not on my sandwich that I had specifically asked for. He forgot the lettuce, tomato, and pickles onto my burger. I will not be coming into this business again and I feel that people should be aware of possible future interactions of whoever decides to step into this establishment. -Marietta Mitchell

We were excited to try this place, since we live in the neighborhood. The excitement ended about half way through the ordering process. The place is bleak- absolutely no ambiance or interest. We ordered to go- great choice since every surface that I came in contact with was sticky and icky. As for the burgers: the buns were dry and void of flavor, which was unfortunate, since they literally smashed all of the flavor out of the burger patties. I gave a generous 3 stars, since the fries and onion rings were fine, albeit greasy and over salted. For a meal over $30 it feels like a bad dinner choice. We won’t go again.

I have no idea how to rate this place – I left before even completing my order. The pricing on the “menu” that appears on this listing is not correct. I ordered a double-patty Swiss burger, no extras, no sides, just the burger. THIRTY DOLLARS. Three-zero. 5 for the top bun, 5 for the bottom bun, and 20 for two patties. They said it would be $15 for one patty.
I’m still trying to figure out if this is a joke or if I should go back and insist on the advertised price.
