My wife and I came here for the first time because we wanted to try a local place we haven’t tried yet. The restaurant had a lot of character to it and it was clean and cozy. Our food was excellent, hot, and very fresh. Our server Katelin was very welcoming, friendly, and patient, while we struggled to decide what to order because of all of the yummy options on the menu. She was very helpful with her recommendations too. Tony the owner even stopped by to greet us and make sure we were enjoying our experience. We will 100% be back again.

Enjoyed a very nice dinner at Tony’s! Dinners come with a salad and a yummy one at that, choice of garden or ceasar! Party of 4 and all loved our entrees! Busy bar crowd but there were seats for dinner. The parking lot was packed but no wait for dinner so if you drive by and see lots of cars still stop, you might be able to still get a table. Staff and owner were very nice.

Probably one of the best and cutest restaurants I’ve been to in a while with amazing prices! I went here for the first time with my cousin and we just had a great time. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and the food was so fresh and delicious. The owner came out to check on each and every table and made sure to wish my cousin a happy birthday. The waitress (Laura) was so so nice and kind and made my cousin feel very special on her birthday! Again, the food and service just does not compare!! I got the chicken parm and then we shared their homemade tiramisu. I could not believe the bill when I saw it. It was so cheap for the amount of food they give you (you also get a side salad with each order). Their bread they give you in the beginning is the best bread I’ve ever had. I will for sure be coming back here and recommending to all in the area.

What a great place we came upon. It was a busy saturday about dinner time, We were promptly seated by the owner himself. Moments later we were greeted by our waitress who Took our drink order. Water and hot rolls were brought to our table within moments. Shortly thereafter our drinks arrived, We ordered the Lynchburg lemonade and the Mediterranean mule. Both were very tasty and well made. For our dinner selection, we chose the eggplant parmesan. And chicken parmesan.
Both entrees came with a house salad. Or a caesar salad, or you could have soup. We chose the source and they were absolutely delicious. Our meal came and we were pleased with the selections that we chose. The chicken parmesan was excellent. As was the eggplant Parmesan. very tasty. The portions were a decent size for, the price. This is a very well run restaurant with very good employees, Upon leaving we were thanked By numerous employees for eating there tonight. Keep up the good work, We always prefer eating at a local restaurant rather than a national chain.

Wow, happy surprise to find this little restaurant have such a great food. Tony the owner provides firm class service. For sure we would be back. The drink menu has a little bit for everyone. Every entrée comes with a salad … The best are the prices !!!!!! This is a hidden restaurant which I highly recommend.

Didn’t feel like cooking so we headed to Tony’s. I order the Eggplant Rollitini with mash potatoes and veggies. I have lowered my standards in recent years regarding mashed potatoes. These were phenomenal and full of flavor and made from real potatoes. The zucchini and carrot veggies were cooked well and seasoned perfectly. I didn’t even need salt. The eggplant was fresh and not slimy like a lot of other places. I don’t know who was cooking tonight but you could taste the love in the food. It even looked pretty.

Beautiful decor with a cozy well lit European stone feel, Tony’s Bistro impressed me. Proper accomadating service with a range of high-low to midH level food options.

I’m shocked by the great reviews of this restaurant. I went to Tony’s Bistro for the first time yesterday and had called in an order for 2 Italian subs and a Chicken Parm sub for take out. I thought the prices on the online menu were good, and while the 3 lunch portions looked huge, there were a few disappointments that could not be overlooked.
My BIGGEST complaint was that the “Italian Sub”, which online is described containing, “Ham, Salami, Mozzarella Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, and Oil & Vinegar” was the absolute worst rendition of such a classic sub sandwich. See picture posted. First, the bread was a day or two old, which I could have overlooked if it weren’t for the horrendous filling failure. There was a super skimpy layer of what looked like boiled ham, NO salami, mozzarella cheese, ROMAINE lettuce (while I can appreciate the extra nutritional value, it’s just wrong here), tomato, NO onion, vinegar (I asked for no oil) and the addition of AMERICAN CHEESE! It was essentially a bad, skimpy ham and cheese sandwich, which was very weird with vinegar.
The chicken parm sub was okay. The bread was better because it had been toasted, and overall it tasted alright, but it was not a whole chicken cutlet in the sub. The chicken parm filling seemed to be in small pieces for some reason and seemed to consist way more of breading than chicken. At least the flavor profile of this one was on the right track.
They also got one of the sides wrong and the total was more than what I expected. I should have asked to see the receipt, but I was using a gift certificate so I didn’t want to seem petty. Perhaps the online menu prices are out of date.
On the plus side, the staff was friendly and the fries were enjoyable, but what a terrible first impression.
