Cash only, unfortunately, and they have an ATM that takes $3.5 on top of whatever fee your bank is charging you. So this $7 beer quickly turned into something like $14 with the tip, fees etc….. Not a good deal.
The bartender was only chatty with locals/regulars. I wanted to spend an hour relaxing here but I did not feel welcome.

Fun local bar, attached to the liquor store. You have to get the bartender to let you in and be your cashier, so maybe wait until you’ve had a drink at the bar before you move to the liquor store if you plan to do both, because the bartender needs to hold your purchase behind the bar if you stay. Good crowd, fun stuff on the walls.

I walked in here after getting ignored at the bar next door. I believe the girl working the bar was named Lisa. She was very kind and sweet. I started playing the Touch Tunes, another guy started matching me songs. We became buddies straight away. A local Alaskan fella named Bob joined us at our end of the bar. In short,we ended up having a great time till 2 o’clock in the morning. Woke up with an Alaska sized hangover this morning, but it was worth it. Good times ! Highly recommend.

Personally I would rate 0 stars if I could. Bartenders should be required to attend a customer service class. Using cuss words towards customers isn’t a great look for anyone. Kicking someone out of the bar for wanting their change back after purchasing a drink seems a bit rash to me. Every bar I’ve been to usually is a bit better at math than this one seems to be. Great news is that there are other bars in Seward to go to!

Hometown place. Wasn’t too impressed. Poor lighting and seating. Slow service. Drinks are poured light. Charged for soda water. It appears to be qheee the local regular drunks go. Not too friendly. Had our drinks and left. Won’t return.

Yepper, it’s a place you should go and have a drink, or more, they have a juke box, package liquor, and when you walk out side a quite incredible view.

It was fine at the start but staff got very rude using curse words. They were frustrated we we taking awhile to count some change., and then they needed to make an order while we got change from the ATM . Waiting frustration was understandable somewhat, we stepped aside for our change and waited for the staff.. but then I overheard them make a rude joke to the bar guests saying here goes another 25 minutes and laugh. To be honest we may have taken 3 min. Which is nothing for their behavior, and does not excuse their rudeness, joking and cursing. Almost ruined the end to a great day in Seward.
Next time consider not cussing and cracking rude jokes about customers in front of other customers!

Bartenders are rude, god forbid you buy anything at the liquor store, that will really set them off. Skip this one in Seward, no reason to spend your money on a place that hates their customers.
