I recently visited this Thai restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. We tried a mix of appetizers and noodle dishes, and everything was delicious. The portions were generous—definitely great value for the price. The service was also friendly and efficient, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, a satisfying dining experience that I’d happily recommend. We will be back

Dishes here are amazing as always!
Every dish we ordered had mouthful of flavors! And they’re always very consistent with their dishes as well.
The service already definitely step up. The staffs are always friendly and constantly checking up on our meal. Definitely worth giving every item on the menu a try once!!

Food was deliciously and came out quickly. Because we came at opening. The Tony Wings were crispy and perfectly battered with sweet and sour sauce that was not overly saturated. Drunken noodles were slightly bland for me and oily but good. Crispy chili fish was a little bit tough but good coconuty flavor with curry I think. Boat was good too but noodles were overcooked. We recommend and will return.

My friend told me that this Tony Thai restaurant has very good steak, so we went there for dinner. I ordered the basil lamb, and my friend ordered the grilled steak. The basil lamb tasted okay, but the steamed rice was not good and of cheap quality. The waiter service was decent. The restaurant atmosphere was okay. This restaurant also sells some grocery items.

The food at Tony Thai was excellent! We ordered Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Peanut Chicken, Fried Catfish and Tom Yum. Each dish was fresh, flavorful and well-prepared. The balance of flavors really stood out and everything tasted authentic. This restaurant has been here for over 20 years and honestly, I keep forgetting it’s even open but I’m glad I finally came back. Make sure you let them know your spice level so the dishes come out just how you like them. The only downside was that service was a bit slow so our food took longer than expected. Still, the quality and taste made it worth the wait and I’ll definitely remember to come back sooner next time.

I love the food but the menus they have for take out still have prices like $10.95 for the pad thai. It does state prices are subject to change anytime but a $4-5 increase is something I do not entirely understand. And then when picking up and paying that price I would expect napkins and utensils but there wasn’t any. I’m guessing you must make sure to ask for them.

Been coming here for years but never gave a proper review. The food is good, but only for some selected dishes. The best dish for me is the steamed mussel, but they sometimes would run out. Yum seafood and grilled squid is good too. Pad thai may taste more sweet than the usual. Some beef, pork or chicken dishes may taste dry.

Tony Thai never fails to deliver authentic tasty Thai food. The dishes come out really quickly, I’ve never had to wait too long for my order and everything is reasonably priced. Favorite things to order are the tom yum soup, chicken wings, pad Thai noodles, egg plant with chicken, and coconut shrimp. There are tasty vegetarian options as well.

Service is friendly and courteous.
However, food is extremely below mediocre, although large portions.
We ordered Shrimp Pad See Ew and Shrimp Pad Thai. The menu showed both items pictured with shrimp and priced at $14.95 per plate. However, the receipt came showing a surcharge for the shrimp at $3 per plate – so actual cost was $17.95. The menu pricing is misleading and should be pictured without the shrimp.
But forget about the pricing – had the flavor been good – it would have been fine. However, the pad see ew was way too oily and had a somewhat burnt flavor. The greens were still raw and the rice noodles were lukewarm and not hot at all.
The Pad Thai was even worse: large chunks of noodles clumped together and dry, also lukewarm – again, nothing was hot. The seasoning was not spread out evenly on the noodles and some parts were actually outright cold. We threw it out after it was wrapped up to-go. We don’t like wasting food, but afterward we couldn’t stomach the idea of eating the leftover.
We ended up paying $45 with tips included, for two plates of some really bad Thai food.
Considering they had quite a lot of customers coming through the door while we were there, I’m honestly surprised. Maybe there aren’t enough good Thai places around so people have nothing to compare to? Or maybe we came on a bad night – who knows. But this was just my experience.

Recently went to Tony Thai with high hopes .
Just highly disappointed ☹️.
Food was super oily seasoning was slightly above a buffet restaurant.
Portion size was good, not too expensive but they charge for meat in the stir fry noodle dishes which makes it expensive.
Nice ambiance but food not ethnic Thai food.
Overly greasy American style cuisine.
Not too many Thai restaurants on Bellaire so I guess that’s how they stay in business.
Also there was a hair on my plate when I took the napkin off and the plates are chipped looks dirty.
Picture of the to go we took home maybe I’ll add some more veggies to it and shrimp.
The service was decent better than Vietnamese restaurants . They just need a new cook !
