Tony Da Caneca is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates extraordinary service, authentic Portuguese cuisine, and an exceptional wine selection. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the stage for a truly memorable dining experience.
The highlight of our meal was the octopus appetizer—perfectly tender and bursting with flavor. The flaming sausage added a fun and interactive element to the evening, both delicious and entertaining. And then came dessert—an indulgent triple chocolate masterpiece that was nothing short of heavenly. Paired with rich, aromatic Portuguese coffee, it was the perfect ending to a flawless meal.
Tony Da Caneca exceeded all expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking to savor the best of Portuguese cuisine!

I had to update this. This place is now owned by new owners. I been a faithful customer for 20+ years. It’s sad to say that even though they have done a wonderful job renovating the place . The food quality has gone out the window with cheap quality food grade, from the prepackaged refrigerator grade calamari to skipping out on the traditional soup or salad before you appetizers. This is now a mix blend restaurant of Brazilian and Portuguese cuisine . Which is a non traditional and a modern mix . That lacks the real authentic Portuguese cuisine experience. The desert menu is completely prepackaged stuff from Nastos ice cream shop . They’re not even trying to prepare something fresh & authentic. To top it off they raised the prices on everything while lacking the quality of the original owners. I went on a Sunday and the parking attendant decided that it was a good idea to leave home without finishing his shift. He left my car unlocked and took my car keys with him. After waiting for 20 minutes he shows up apologizing for his stupidity. I said no problem I will never come back and I will definitely update my 5 star review to its proper review. So to everyone reading this Save your money and go to a real quality restaurant, there is definitely a bunch of options available close by .

Absolutely beautiful in the inside. Delicious soup, entrees, and desserts and reasonably priced. You get large portions. Our waiter was absolutely phenomenal , very friendly and very helpful. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Definitely a place to try if heading back from the airport or if in the area.

The food was decadent. Perfectly made with a true touch of home. The ambiance was welcoming and the service was beyond any expectation. They treat you as if you are part of the family but in an elegant manner seldom seen. Thank you for the great experience!

Food was good. Steaks were done perfect but a little under seasoned.
Service was slow, took a while to get our drinks which was a sparkling water and also took forever to get our bill at least 20min waiting.
The place is beautiful the food very good but service a little slow.
Bonus point for free parking.

Tony Da Caneca was recently renovated but still offering both its traditional Portuguese menu and a nice selection of Brazilian Cuisine. Delicious drinks and vegetarian options. The place looks much nicer with a modern facelift to its traditional esthetic design.

Nice little restaurant at the beginning of Elm St just off Chestnut. Great lunch selection. Had the lunch special, Sirloin with a fried egg. Finished up with a nice espresso.
