Everything fried is so delicious. We had pork katsu bento box, karage chicken curry, and tempura. All meat was juicy and tasty. Fried food has this quality must have a good oil temperature control. Service was a bit slow but nice, I think they are under staffing. But good food worths the wait.

legacy – the lasting impact, values, or tangible assets (money, property) passed down from ancestors, predecessors, or individuals to future generations. The ingredients in my ramen, every single piece, felt intentional and well prepared. The broth was delicate and the spice I asked for was exactly what I wanted. The flavor of spices and broth tasted familiar like a childhood memory, when I have never had the pleasure of tasting their food. The waitress was kind and made sure my water glass stayed full (this is actually a requisite for a 5 star review for me in most cases and I would have still given a 5 had she not). A true hidden gem as I had to zoom into Google maps to even see it! Highly recommend. Sake and sodas available. No store front on street, just a door that leads down stairs to a cozy atmosphere, as an introvert, much approved.

While the food here was definitely good and our server was kind, the cashier didn’t want to split the bill, as others have written about. I never like to argue with staff about these kinds of things, so I didn’t. Still, it was a very simple bill, and there was practically nobody else inside, so it would’ve meant a lot for them to have taken the extra time to have gone through with the request. It left me feeling disappointed after what had been overall a good meal.

I will never forget about Ton Ton. My friends and I were strolling the SF streets post concert and we had the munchies. As we roam the streets, we run into Ton Ton. Needless to say, a blessing. Hands down my favorite ramen place in SF and I’ve tried a lot as an avid ramen lover. We got there close to close and they let our big group in, genuine service, and exciting atmosphere. I miss this place!!

I love everything about the food
I just don’t like the way cashier said “this bill not include the tip” while i am standing in front of the cashier to pay in cash. (for me it sounds like “HEY!GIVE A TIP NOW!)
Well, this is US !
i am as a tourist knew that every-time i eat in the restaurant should give a tip with min.18%
So i just said to the cashier “i’ll put on the table”
For comparison, the next day i do the the same thing in steak restaurant ( i mean, i pay in cash and eat. After eat i put the tip on the table ) the cashier not even say “please don’t forget the tip after you eat” or anything about the ‘tip’
I believe You can improve your communication 🙂
Thanks

Landed late one night in San Fran and was craving ramen. This little shop hit the spot! The ramen was good and authentic! The karaage chicken was great! Not that anemic fried chicken crisp that a lot of places serve and instead a meaty healthy portion of poultry lightly breaded. The hot broth was delicious, blended well while emitting flavors and scents to match. The veggies and eggs were all fresh.
All around, a GREAT experience!

I’ve been here a few times while staying nearby. My go to is the house ramen tonkatsu. There is plenty of food, the broth is just spicy enough. The meat is tender, and the egg is perfectly jammy. The service is fast and pleasant. They keep the water filled. I had the single serve saki, which was mild and way more than I could consume by myself.

It’s my 3rd time coming here, I’m from Michigan and it’s always super fresh and super tasty! I’m also glad they moved to a bigger space (which is downstairs!)
Can’t wait to come back.

It’s easy to walk past this Ramen spot, in fact I did, luckily I wasn’t in the mood for bento. Ramen is what I needed on a cool San Francisco evening. I ate as a solo diner, in for a bowl of House Ramen.
I’ve got to say, this Ramen rivals any great bowl in the city. The base hold the bowl together so well, it rich, fatty, slightly creamy and lots of umami. The shoyu egg was perfection ♂️ noodles were firm and delicious, toppings were fresh and a nice accent to the dish
I’ll be back soon

My absolute favorite SF ramen restaurant. We love ramen, and this is one of our favorites. I love how quick and fresh they are. And they stay open late!! Arrive before 11:30 a.m. and you’ll be OK. Cute dazzling lights that you can’t miss!! But be prepared to walk. Also, try their musubi!!!!
