We went to Tonno’s Wakefield for the first time for a celebration dinner. Everything was delicious from the bread and oil, to the oysters and octopus apps, and then main courses of monk fish, rib eye and chicken parm. The drinks were excellent as well. Our server was attentive, friendly and helpful with recommendations. We will definitely be back. We missed the happy hour raw bar apps from 4-5, which sounded amazing, so will make a point to get there for an early dinner.

We actually hit Happy Hour, and there’s a Happy Hour bites menu. Oysters $1 each/Roasted Oysters $4 each & octopus skewer which I think was also $4. The swordfish melted in your mouth & the salmon over seasonal Risotto was made to perfection.

We stopped at this place in Wakefield and had a really great experience. From the moment we walked in, even though we were late for our reservation, they were kind and accommodating, which immediately set the tone.
The service was spot on. Sarah, our waitress, was amazing. Attentive, friendly, and completely on top of everything without being intrusive. You can tell she cares. I also believe the manager, Olivia, was running the floor, and she was absolutely on her game, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. Everything flowed smoothly.
The food was outstanding. Every dish we ordered was cooked perfectly and came out timely despite the crowd. You could feel the organization behind the scenes.
The only challenge was parking, but that is typical for Wakefield and not something I would hold against the restaurant.
Overall, excellent experience. Great food, strong management, and fantastic service. Definitely coming back.

We dined here just last night for our belated anniversary and I beelined it to Google to leave a review because I was so blown away by our dinner. We’ve lived in Melrose for a few years and have heard of Tonno but for some reason just never tried it until yesterday.
We ordered the clams appetizer, crab cake special, squid ink spaghetti with calamari and shrimp, and halibut with mashed potato and asparagus over lobster bisque. Our waiter, Marcus, was phenomenal (!!!) and also treated us to a delicious flourless chocolate cake for our celebration. Everything was so, so flavorful. And honestly, our meal at Tonno last night was better than anywhere I’ve eaten in the North End lately.

Tonno was the perfect venue for my mom’s surprise 60th birthday party! Olivia was so helpful and went above and beyond from start to finish in planning and executing a beautiful event. She made it stress free! All our guests loved the food and drinks, and the servers and bartenders (Amanda, Mark and Gen) were wonderful. We were so thrilled and highly recommend to anyone considering Tonno for a meal or an event. Thank you all so much!

A last minute decision to attempt to find a restaurant on Easter that without a reservation you could get in. At 3:pm today we called and were elated when we were told to come on over. The service and food were exceptional. Our server at the high top tables near the bar didn’t miss a beat. She was just amazed and we went with her recommendations without hesitation. My Rib eye was insanely delicious cooked to perfection. My BFFs Tuna Steak was equally amazing. Don’t get me started on their blood orange coconut margarita. Probably the BEST margarita I’ve had in years. We cannot wait to return. I wish we weren’t heading home to Easter candy because their desserts looked Heavenly especially the white chocolate bread pudding.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner here! We decided to order lots of the appetizers to have as our main course instead.
We got the shrimp scampi, mussels (my FAV), octopus, and crabcake! We also ordered a side of potatoes (delish) and we would order everything again except for the crabcake. I’m from Maryland, so I like more chunky crabmeat in my crab cakes .
We also got tiramisu for dessert. Everything was great! I’m sure we will be back again.
