I almost didn’t go to this restaurant because of the reviews on here, but I’m glad I did because this is authentic African food! It’s a small operation. On the day we went, it was just the lady (I’m assuming Toni) and her son. They were busy with phone orders, so we expected a little wait. It wasn’t bad, though. About 15 minutes. They were nice to answer my many questions about the dishes.

It was less than okay. I’m sorry but I loveeeeeee some potato greens, and I have it multiple times a month. This place LITERALLY had a slab of beef fat/bone and a small piece of what I believe is chicken in it. The potato greens also were ALL SPICE no flavor and they don’t even ask what spice level you want. Just rediculous, and my kids and I love spicy food and this just tasted gross. The samosas were okay. Again all spice no flavor but the crust was good so that’s why I’m giving two stars. Don’t even get me started on the soggy a** chicken. It was almost a grey/pink color on the inside and my guess is because it wasn’t done all the way. I did throw it in the oven to try and at least salvage some of a 30$ meal. Never going back.

My 1st time trying this place yesterday.I bought my whole household food babies and all. My FEEDBACK would be.. due to you not knowing peoples spice level or who they’re feeding off their plate the food shouldn’t ALL be spicy.. Literally everything was spicy.. unless someone ask for spice or post something that states you automatically serve spicy food so people would know. The food was alright.. I just feel as if I filled up off rice.. and I’m giving a 3 star only because the ones I bought the food for in the 1st place couldn’t eat it. My Review to the public: Very little meat (the other reviews was not lying when they talked about the meat portions) My Order consist of Potato Greens, Jollof rice with goat meat and samosas my order came out to $76 because I had it delivered from door dash.

I pick up customers food from here an handful of times. Out of curiosity I decided to try their Egusi soup with pounded yam. I’ve never eaten Nigerian food before so I cannot compare to another person’s Egusi. I will say it tasted good enough to eat. I like how the goat meat was prepared nice and spicy. The price is fair because I know African food isn’t cheap. I’m rating 2 stars for the lack of customer service skills and always slow to prepare the food. On every occasion I went to this place, the owner doesn’t greet people. At least say hi to your customers. A little smile goes a long way.

I ordered a goat stew and a beef stew. And 1 bowl had literally just 1 piece of meat in there. That’s messed up, I paid full price for that!

Ordered Egusi and it’s a NO for me! I usually go to African Deli on Brooklyn blvd but they’re closed on Thursdays (which I never knew) the portion size at Toni’s is super small. The taste is not all that at all! I asked for chicken ONLY in my egusi and the gave me goat I should have paid attention to the 3.7 ratings. African Deli or Milah’s Royal Bistro!!

Today I visited for the first time and I’m SATISFIED! Friendly staff, clean restaurant. I ordered FuFu with okra sauce and Cassava leaf with rice. Spicy just like i like it. I was literally licking the spoon it was so so good. lol. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you.

The food is nasty and over priced. I ordered egusi soup to find only two nasty looking old pieces of chicken or what ever the hell it was in it. The turkey was nasty just a nasty place over all do not eat here. I spent 44$ through on grubhub and I am highly disappointed. The food is super spicy and I didn’t even ask for spice because of my little one. thumbs down

We door dashed our order and I thought multiple things had been missing but when I called a very nice lady explained to me everything and only one small item was forgotten. It was my first time trying west African cuisine and it was all delicious. The egasi was a bit spicy for my palate but still amazing.

The lady on the cashier had a bad attitude, the food was good, this would be 5 star if she had smiled ONCE, but she had a permanent frown like she was angry or just had a fight with her husband ….the sitting area is painted ugly orange and the area is dirty, they don’t mop or clean the floor nor the tables
