Very small place. 2 or 3 two person tables. Can tell they cater to the college take out crowd.
Very good slice with pepperoni. Crisp bottom, melted cheese that strung out nicely. Very good flavor, but a bit greasy. Would definitely go there again.

The pizza is pretty good, and compared to the pizza places around their prices are good. The sauce is fantastic, great flavor and plenty of it on each slice! I also like their cheese and pepperoni. Only thing lacking is a good crisp on the crust. The crust itself is well made, but it’s missing that char on the bottom. This pizza is actually even better the next day, as the sauce gets even better and I can reheat it on my cast iron to give the bottom of the crust a good crunch. If they could figure out how to fix that, I think this pizza would be perfect!
Delivery drivers and counter staff are super nice, and they have both phone and online ordering which is always a plus. And again, best prices around. (I think Whitney pizza might be cheaper or comparable, but it’s garbage compared to Tonino’s so not worth it lol)

I just wanted to give a special shout out to Toninos. We have been regular customers for some time and every time we’ve gotten food, it has been excellent. I’ve been ordering takeout for my family and the service, communication and most importantly the food has been stellar! The ordering website, is also spot on! Myself and my family appreciate the Toninos restaurant and staff!

I’ve been here twice so far to get a slice of pizza instead of a whole pie and both times I’ve been very satisfied with the quality. Service was kind and quick. I haven’t tried the subs or anything else on the menu so all I can vouch for is the pizza. No other pizza shop in my experience has perfected a Brooklyn/NY style pie other than this place. The dough retains a great crunch even after being reheated. The buffalo chicken is a good balance of just enough spice and yummy flavor. The plain cheese also has a great taste, almost like a nostalgic cafeteria pizza but doesn’t have a strange taste to it. The close vicinity to a campus makes this a great stop for students and pizza lovers alike.

Only been here once, on my way to my brother’s. Had good reviews, so. I phoned in my order, they were very nice, as well as when we got there. Got two large cheese pizzas. Offered us paper plates and napkins. One pizza was very good, almost NYC quality, the second was a tad overdone…it happens; was still pretty good. When in area will definitely get from them again. And my brother’s family likes them too.

They were the place to go as far as I’m concerned for over 20 years! They got to see my granddaughter grow up and when I moved to North Haven they continued to deliver. The pizza is the best and even better than some of the Wooster Square famous ones!

We love Tonino’s! Their calzones are the best in the area. Good pizza, fresh bread, and good enployees make this a weekly spot for us. There’s not much seating inside so I’d advise picking up and eating outside of the restaurant.

Just had my first slices of pizza at Tonino’s… DELICIOUS! Some of the best Pizza in the greater Connecticut/Hamden area, and I have no doubt I’ll be back. The service is great, the pizza is tasty, and the cost is low. What more could you want?
