I went to Tong Thai yesterday for someone’s birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful find! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and both the cooks and the wait staff were incredibly kind and patient. The food was absolutely delicious—easily the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to around the area. Everything from the flavors to the presentation was amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

We always come to this restaurant whenever we come to Sacramento. It is easily the best Thai food we’ve had. Today we tried Tom Kha soup for the first time and it was incredible. The owner makes us feel welcome every time.

One of the best Thai places I’ve ever been to! I ordered the drunken noodles at spice level three and it was perfectly balanced with the seasoning and spice; it came with a healthy amount of tofu, and it was marinated very well instead of plain which was a pleasant surprise. My partner got the duck noodle soup and the chicken satay, and said both were exceptional! The soup was very rich in flavor and the noodles had a great consistency. The portions are sharing size (and very reasonable for the price!), so be aware of that when ordering multiple entrees; we were in over our heads. We had to take our mago sticky rice home cause we were so full, but it was still the most delicious sticky rice I’ve ever had!

It has been a long time since I’ve had Thai food this delicious. The owner sat us down, immediately brought waters, and took other drink orders. He also provided recommendations based on people’s preferences of spice level. I ended up getting a pineapple red curry (spice level 2) and my husband and ordered the crispy chicken pad Thai (spice level 1), I also ordered a Thai iced tea. The food was amazing! The portions were huge, we both had leftovers for another meal. The flavors were well balanced. I hope this place stays around for a long time and the owners, chef, etc. remain the same because it is perfect.
