A couple girlfriends and I decided to try Tona’s for the first time tonight and it was absolutely incredible!! Everything was truly top notch — the food, the drinks, the atmosphere — but what really took the whole experience to the next level was the service.

Our server, Freddy, was PHENOMENAL. He was super attentive, knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely patient! We took over an hour to finally order our entrées because we were so busy chatting, and he was SO gracious about it — we kept apologizing, but he never rushed us or badgered us, and reassured us that we could take all the time we needed.

All of his food and drink recommendations were 10/10. Also, did I mention that he was hilarious?! He has us cackling and laughing out loud throughout our entire dinner. He was an absolute gem and we LOVED chatting with him. He is one of those rare servers who can interact with his guests like they’re old friends, while also remaining completely professional. We told him we will be requesting him from now on every time we go! He told us he works Thursday and Friday nights, so I highly recommend you try to make it to Tona’s one of those nights!

I ordered the mummy shrimp and chicken quesadilla.

Pros:
– I was seated quickly
– food arrived in a timely fashion
– chicken quesadilla was good with a good amount of chicken

Cons:
-chicken quesadilla was more like a large taco due to the tortilla not really being cheesed together
– the mummy shrimp was a 1/5. The wrapped bacon was so gummy on the inside. The texture was the same as uncooked bacon when you take it out the pack. I unwrapped all the shrimps and by themselves they were good. But the bacon didn’t seem to be cooked all the way through.

Overall, I would come here again but I DO NOT RECOMMEND the mummy shrimp. Also, while I was seated quickly, people that came 10-15 mins after me did have to wait at least 30 mins. So be aware the wait time will varies. The parking lot is small but they have a parking garage around the corner to the back.

I came here for a late lunch and loved the food, service and atmosphere. I had the Favorita Grill, which is enough for 2 people. It had grilled ribeye, chicken, bacon-wrapped shrimp and queso fresco. I also had black and refried beans. I tried their “fusion tortillas”… they are a combo of corn and flour tortillas. They are pliable like flour torts, and have a nice corn accent. I have not seen them anywhere else. The chips were light and crispy, the salsas were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and was well presented. The margaritas and drink menu is unique. Cheyenne took excellent care of me at the bar. She was attentive, kind and welcoming. The atmosphere was modern, I especially loved the glassware. I look forward to returning so I can try everything in the menu.

Prices are very reasonable, especially during lunch. Flavor is exceptional and service was fast and great. Ibet took great care of us.
Highly recommend mole enchiladas and chicken tacos. Paloma was very refreshing and the margarita flight was awesome.
Note: There’s a 3% credit card fee applied so bring cash if you can.

I’ve been to Tona’s Margarita Bar three times in the past two weeks — once with a large party of 12, once on a date, and once by myself and the food and service have been wonderfully consistent every time. The staff is great: fast, friendly, and attentive.

The grilled chicken burrito is always a hit, and the margarita flight before 5pm is a must. The Jala-Pina Margarita is my favorite. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

The parking lot is TINY but there is a nearby garage.

We came at 6:30 on a Sunday. Understandably, there was an hour wait. Wish reservations or atleast a call ahead for waitlist was a thing. Parking honestly sucks, very small shared parking lot, and a very narrow parking garage. Staff was friendly, and although the place was slammed, our server was attentive and friendly. She did a wonderful job. The restaurant was very pretty and the bathrooms were gorgeous. However, some of the customers were honestly being obnoxious. Obviously this isn’t the staffs fault, and I feel bad they had to deal with it. My friend got one of the coconut margs, and I got the berry berry. They were just okay. I wasn’t expecting much from the volcano dip, but was very pleasantly surprised, it was really well done. The birria tacos were good as well! Overall, the service, and food was really good. I would come back but will definitely wait for the hype to calm down, because I probably wouldn’t wait an hour again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (soft launch grace!)

Part of our Tour de Taco crew stopped by the soft launch of Tonas Margarita Bar in Brentwood, and there’s a lot of potential here.

The margaritas were excellent — balanced, flavorful, and absolutely worth coming back for (especially since they’re adding a champagne margarita soon ). The volcano dip was bubbling and cheesy in all the best ways, and the ribeye tacos were a standout — tender, juicy, and topped with grilled queso fresco. Genius move.

Now for the honest part: most of the food came out room temperature and missing a bit of flavor. It wasn’t bad, just felt like they haven’t quite found their rhythm yet.

The space is bright and modern, with fun details like the cactus wall and that bold blue mural — super cute spot for drinks or a casual night out.

✨ Bottom line: go for the margaritas, grab the volcano dip, and give them time to hit their stride. I’ll definitely be back for round two once that champagne margarita hits the menu.

This place has a very contemporary, fun vibe. Lots of birthday celebrations with the sombrero. I had the shredded chicken nachos, very good. Came with plenty of queso and chips. Chips and salsa were very good. Parking is a bit of a challenge. But there is a parking garage very close to utilize.

Stumbled on this place randomly for lunch and was highly impressed. Got a margarita flight, which they only do before 5pm. And it was delicious. A great way to try multiple of there flavored margs. Food delicious. Service was top tier. Cheyenne was my bartender. Love that this place is family owned. Will be back!
