Amazing food and staff is friendly. Food comes out quick even when its busy. Take a look at the artwork on the walls, I hear its all hand painted and one of a kind, and i have never seen any art/pictures done the way it is here.

Always an excellent experience at Tonala. We have been coming here since they opened. The food has never disappointed, in fact it’s our favorite Mexican restaurant by far. The service is top notch. The food is always fresh and excellent. The prices are affordable and we often have enough for another meal or two. This restaurant is always clean. Super clean. The owner works alongside his staff when he’s there. Highly recommend.

Food was great and fast service. When you order a fajita it’s supposed to come to the table sizzling and still cooking on the hot plate it’s presented on. This is one of the only places that had this down pat. Every where else I’ve eaten Mexican food and order fajita it don’t come out sizzle kickin like it did here. Thanks for that. It really does add so much to the experience. 5 star . If you’re in the hope area and find yourself hangry then eat here. You won’t be disappointed. Drinks are kickin too.

Formally known as El Jefe. I think it even still says it on the sign outside. Everything is pretty great here! The food is very good. The prices are really good. The portions are excellent! My only issue with this place is the workers all seem to conjugate around the same area right in the front. And sit at the first booth and watch you. The lady standing at the register just stared at us the entire time we ate! Extremely uncomfortable! There’s nothing like having someone stare at you while you eat. Very weird! Not sure why she couldn’t have found something to do…. Or just STOP STARING!
