Great old place I love going to rustic old taverns bars, never had a complaint went couple times on a unbusy time. Gentleman Bartender seems nice they actually had BLATZ that on tap that day I went after St. Matthews church. Couple Years ago I’m from Romeoville. Cheers to TOMS Place P.S. I want that old neon sign BCCA collector since 1974.

We walked in about 11:15pm on a Friday and no one was in there. We asked the bartender if they were closing and she told us to come on in. Was served old school beer in red solo cups which was a great way to end a night with old friends. Could pick the stupid songs we wanted on the jukebox and sang along pretty obnoxiously without any complaint. Good prices, comfortable divey feel. Have been to downtown Lemont a lot and never stopped in so glad we had the chance this time.

Always have an amazing time at Tom’s Place. Julie the bartender is attentive and so accommodating. When you visit downtown Lemont, stop by, you will not be disappointed.

Love this place! Classic dive bar and I mean that in the best possible way. I stop in with my friend Keith who is somewhat of a regular. Next thing you know, I’m volunteering to check IDs at the 100th Anniversary bash. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. A must stop for anyone who loves old school bars.

I’ve been going to Tom’s Place since 2000. Though it’s gone through a few changes, it’s still my favorite small bar to bring friends. Desperately miss having Blatz on tap.

Shot and a beer joint. Inexpensive. No frills. A good counterpoint to Pollyanna across the street (yuppie brewery.) I guess it depends what you’re in the mood for…..
EDIT 8/1/23 ….Been here an additional 2-3 times in the last year. Great place to stop for a beer! Now I give it 5 stars.

This is your stereotypical neighborhood old man’s bar. Where else can you find Blatz and Schlitz being served? Interior is straight out of the 50’s/60’s, but you have to love it!

As expected, the prices were reasonable and the service was good

Without a doubt, the best bar that ever existed. And there is no irony in that comment. I have had more good times there than anywhere else.
This is the only bar I have EVER been to that has had Blatz on tap, and then when that died, Hoegaarden to follow it up. Been to many bars, and have never seen either of those on tap. (I’m talking straight bars, not a place that also serves food)
