This place is apparently closed down and they didnt update their hours to reflect this. So if you’re seeking food, this is not the place to go to. It’s not open and doesnt look like it will ever open up again.

The food (breakfast) was very disappointing. I had heard good about this place and live nearby. Thought I couldn’t go wrong. Well i was sadly mistaken. The sausage patties i ordered appear to be some sort of by product and don’t even pretend to try to fake people out. My dogs wouldn’t even eat them. The hash browns were cold and soggy. Even though I requested extra crispy. They also had no flavor. I think there may have been a change in ownership since my friends who suggested I try it out have visited. Won’t be back. Sad but I can get better at McDonald’s.

This is a very interesting LITTLE place. It reminds me of waking into a kitchen in on old Mansion – “large but small”. The dining area was very neat, orderly, and clean. From the road the place looks like a former Whataburger fast food restaurant (maybe it was). My business partner and I entered and took the main 4 seat table and were met with a very punctual and pleasant waitress. My partner ordered something from the breakfast side of the clean plastic encased menu but I asked if they served liver and onions, which they did.
My partner’s 3 egg and meat meal was as good as one could want. My liver and onions was quite tasty and was perfectly moist, instead of typically dry overcooked liver presentations. I did wish that the vessels were removed but that just meant I had to work around them, leaving them as waste. I’m sorry to say the mashed potatoes and gravy were very bland. The Cole Slaw was sweet shreds virtually floating in the white liquid in the bowl.
Since this was my first visit I usually express tolerance when assigning stars to a non-national eatery so, in keeping with that feeling I will assign this place with a stretched out 4 into a 5 but will show a 5.
Oh, here’s a “Kicker” — the rest room is acquired after one gets a key and then goes outside to the facilities – just “like the old days”! *chuckle*

Food is usually pretty good, garlic pork chops are usually awesome, wait staff are usually very friendly but the owners son that is usually there is rude as all get out. He’s loud and obnoxious and extremely rude. Would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for him and his rudeness.

Wow, a classic! Bright and airy, good food, great prices. Old but clean building with indoor and outdoor seating. The positive reviews here are genuine! (I wondered because they were so positive, but they are well deserved!)

Not a deive in. A little hole in the wall but really good food for the price. Basic flavor but you got your money worth. Atmosphere of greasy spoon meets Elvis impersonator. Conversation in the place was not politically correct but was entertaining to say the least. Speak your mind boys, speak your mind.

This place was once a What-A-Burger! Remember them from back in the day? It’s clean, service was great and friendly staff
The food, oh my goodness amazing! If you should decide to go to Tom’s, which I recommend, order the Shrimp Po Boy..
You won’t be disappointed!

I wouldn’t even give them one star! Each time I’ve ever been here (mind you I’ve been going on and off for years since I was a kid) I’ve had a bad experience. This was by far one of the worst and I’ve had it. I’m NEVER going to dine here again. One of us got a western omelet and asked for salsa. The waitress was asking the owner about it and he proceeded to say “salsa, no I don’t carry that, we don’t serve tacos”. I think that statement was rude, ridiculous, and uncalled for. I’ve never even put salsa on a taco…. ihop a major restaurant chain literally serves salsa with one of their omelets.
There are much better hole in the wall diners in Lakeland. I’d never go back here and hopefully other people are smart enough to read the reviews and not dine here.
On top of the rudeness the food isn’t even good. Aside from the salsa situation the omelet was BURNT.

We’ve been here before with good results. On our last visit nobody greeted us when we walked in and we were the only customers. I ordered the cajun chicken which came out very tough and not at all cajun. My husband had the Hawaiian burger which you could tell was cooked from frozen with some sweet and sour sauce dumped on it. Our kids ordered the chicken nuggets which spent too much time in the fryer. Big shame because we had been before with better results but that was it for us. We won’t be back.
