Stopped here on my drive home from visiting my Cuban family for Christmas, and it was some of the best food I had my whole trip lol. Super delicious, fast service, kind staff, and very affordable. Tamales were SO GOOD. Covered in mojo with chicarrones on top. Delicious croquetas, pastel de guayaba, and cortadito. So much better than any other quick service food I could have gotten on the road. Highly recommend!

Got off the exit to get some gas and use the bathroom. Asked the gas attendant where can I get coffee. She said next door. So we walked over and found the best place for cafe con leche and a cuban sandwich. I would drive from anywhere to come back to this place. The food, coffee and the ladies were the greatest. Do yourself the favor and stop by. Oh….. get 1 chicharron to go. That was

This place is located right next to a gas station so you might miss it. The juices were great! We tried the watermelon and mango, and wanted to get more! The guava and cream pasty was delicious and fluffy. We got the Cubana and my husband really enjoyed that as well. Decent pricing. Real strong coffee! There is also a little area on the outside to sit

We stopped here for breakfast on a roadtrip to GA. Nice small place in the same building as the gas station. Don’t let outside appearance fool you, they have excellent traditional Cuban food and delicious Cuban coffee. We took our food to go but they do have a small outdoor seating area. The staff at the register were very friendly and helpful in making menu choices. The Cuban bread for the breakfast sandwich was phenomenal. Too bad we don’t live anywhere near here but I would recommend for locals or if you are just passing through.

The food was pretty good. We liked everything except the plantains. Normally, I love plantains, but the way these were cooked. They were too sweet and mushy. The Cuban sandwich and the Cuban coffee were both quite good.

Service was good. It’s next to an Exxon station. The food was a little more expensive than what you would expect for this. It’s not a place where you can dine inside, but they do have a couple of picnic tables outside and if you have a dog, they are allowed as well.

The food was amazing, beautiful, clean and great service! Hidden gem in a gas station, who would’ve guessed!

Little hole in the wall adjacent to the Exxon gas station. Food is great and the ladies seem friendly but I was disappointed when I talked to the lady at the register(receipt says Kathy)if she can change out my soda drink for a smoothie/batido and she refused to do it. I asked why and she said because it messes my inventory , are you kidding me. I’m assuming she is not capable of doing a refund or charging me the difference like she did with my dessert.

MGMT: TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES ON HOW TO REFUND AND RECHARGE YOUR CUSTOMERS FOR A DIFFERENT ITEM. SPECIALLY IF THEY ARE TRYING TO SPEND MORE

It’s sad when you want to spend more money and the actual employees refuse to do such a simple request.

Stopped here for the first time finally… we got the Cuban sandwich and it was good but would have been much better if they would not have put American cheese on it.. Cubans are so much better with swiss cheese.. not a deal breaker but next time i will definitely order it with swiss cheese! We also got ham croquettes and they were good.. we also got a ham n cheese Empanada & a beef empanada and i would not order the ham n cheese again, we have not tried the beef yet. We got to full on 1/2 our sandwich so saving it for later… i normally do not get empanadas anywhere because my fiance makes them so good and never find them as good as his. They do have a big menu to choose from tho.

Tom’s Cuban on the Go turned a simple road-stop into one of the most memorable meals of my Florida vacation. Tucked beside a gas station in Ocala, it might look unassuming from the outside, but the moment I walked up to the window, I could tell this place is something special. The Cuban sandwich was everything you want it to be on vacation: hot, pressed perfectly, with crusty bread, melty cheese, and layers of flavorful pork and ham that tasted slow-cooked and seasoned with care. The portion was so generous I could have easily shared, but it was so good I didn’t want to give up a single bite. Their sides and pastries were just as impressive – from the empanadas to the stuffed potato balls and sweets in the case, everything looked and tasted homemade and fresh. The coffee deserves its own shout-out. The Cuban coffee and café con leche were rich, smooth, and strong enough to wake up even the most tired traveler, turning a quick stop off I‑75 into a little burst of Miami-style energy in the middle of North Florida. It paired perfectly with their pastries and made it feel like a mini café experience even though I was technically “on the go.”Service was warm, fast, and genuinely friendly, the kind of family-run hospitality that makes you feel like a regular even if you’re just passing through on vacation. My food came out quickly, piping hot, and the staff took time to explain the menu and suggest favorites, which I really appreciated. The outdoor seating and easy parking by the gas station made it convenient to grab food, stretch my legs, and get back on the road without feeling rushed. If you’re traveling through Florida and anywhere near Ocala, Tom’s Cuban on the Go is absolutely worth going a little out of your way for. It’s the kind of hidden gem that makes you want to plan your next road trip around when you can stop there again.
