Ate here for the first time and the food overall was good. The rib tips were tender and had a lot of seasoning. The potato salad was good as well. We weren’t a fan of the peach cobbler or Strawberry shortcake. Everyone was very friendly.

I have been going to Tom’s Barbecue for many years, and it has honestly become part of our family tradition. Whenever we would drive from Chicago to Dallas, this was always a stop we looked forward to. We used to visit the Mississippi location, which was much bigger, but they unfortunately closed after COVID. Since then, I have been to the Memphis location twice, once last Ramadan and again this Ramadan, and it continues to live up to the memories.
The food is simply amazing, and the fact that it is halal makes it even more special for us. You can tell there is real care in how everything is prepared. They cook the beef separately, which shows attention to detail and respect for their customers. The ribs are tender, flavorful, and consistently done right. The walking fries are a must have, loaded, filling, and something we genuinely crave. Even the sides stand out and complete the meal perfectly.
Adeel, the owner, is a big reason why this place means so much to us. He is always there, hands on, and truly invested. He takes his time with customers and makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. You can see the effort he puts in every single day. The staff as a whole are friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better.
Every time we pass through Memphis, or even plan to stop in the city, Tom’s Barbecue is the first place that comes to mind. It is more than just a restaurant for us. It is part of our road trip memories and something we genuinely look forward to. This is absolutely a must have stop.

What an amazing place! Amazing food. We got the brisket sandwich, ribs, pork shoulder, peach cobbler, and a meat plate. 10/10 recommend! The hospitality was impeccable as well! The best hospitality at a restaurant I’ve ever had. My party shared the same sentiment. I’m going to this restaurant every time I’m in Memphis!

Traveling from Arkansas to Virginia wanted to have dinner around Memphis. Found this hole in the wall online and decided it could be a diamond in the rough! Boy it was good! Down home style kitchen mixed with blue ribbon BBQ for the win. Menu is southern BBQ perfect!!!!

I ordered the chopped chicken plate with potato salad, deviled eggs and baked beans. I also Got the sweet potato pie. The chopped chicken was good.l they just put too much sauce on it. The potato salad and deviled eggs were just ok……the beans had so much pepper that I couldn’t even taste the baked beans. My mouth was on fire from the pepper. I think pieces of brisket were in there as well. The sweet potato pie was horrible! I prefer my pie crust a little more browned but overall the taste was bad!!!! Too much vanilla flavor and I couldn’t tell if it was pumpkin or something else but definitely not sweet potatoes . I spent $25 and was very disappointed. I am a truck driver and was passing through next time I’ll just pass by!

This place needs to be the #1 recommend place when your looking for bbq in Memphis. First time here and I’m amazed born and rasie in Florida we do bbq different from other states but this food took me home . Great portions, great flavor, great service ‼️‼️‼️

We are passing through the area and saw that they had good reviews. We decided to give it a try. The food was AMAZING! We had the pork, brisket, and the short ribs with sides. The food was perfect, and the owner was super nice. I even went back in line to get food to take home for later. I would recommend this place to anyone that likes BBQ, I know this will be my new spot when I come to the area.
