I typically do a search online to seek out the best this or that and my sister was coming to visit so I wanted to know the best diner in Columbus, and Tommy’s popped up. I was really excited to dine here. I know this is a Columbus staple and I’ve heard other people talk about it. It’s a quirky little place. The decor is nice and what I’ve come to expect from mom and pop eateries. Unfortunately that’s about where the experience end. Our server was a young lady. She didn’t tell us what her name was. She was a little bit rude and offputting, but being it was a birthday celebration my sister and I decided to make the best of it. I asked the girl what the diner was known for and she said she didn’t know but she would ask. I don’t think she actually asked anybody because she never disclosed or suggested any particular meal that we should try. I opted for the Belgian waffle aside of bacon and a scrambled egg and my sister got the French toast aside of bacon and scrambled egg. I will admit that the Belgian waffle was was fluffy and had a decent texture. The bacon was not cooked enough to my liking, and it had an off taste to it. Nonetheless, the dining experience wasn’t as pleasant as I was hoping for it to be neither our meals were photo worthy, which was very disappointing as always please visit your local dining areas and support small business. Unfortunately, I think Tommy’s will be a one and done situation for me which is sad because we know that I love a great brunch spot!

Came here before a Buckeye game. It was packed with Buckeye fans headed to the game. Really cool diner. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We did get a little lucky and was able to get a seat right away. Most people had a little bit of a wait to get seated, but the food comes out quick. The gravy was very good on the country fried steak. Eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly to order. If you are in this area you should stop in and try this local diner out.

If you are in the big city, you must visit the iconic Tommy’s Diner. The inside is full of photos from icons. Giving the old-school diner feeling.
Food is great and so is the staff. Eggs Benedict was excellent. I added cheese and green onion to the home fries. Coffee was filled and fresh
Excellent for breakfast and lunch !

If I could give 0 stars i would. First and Foremost, There is NO WAY that You guys should be allowed to charge the amount of money You do, when the food You serve is the lowest grade of quality ive ever seen in a diner. Fully cooked does not Mean You get to serve it straight out of the can. Your Hash was Trash, You have doggy treats for bacon, Your potatoes are dehydrated, placed in a bowl of water until tenderness has met Your Standards. You make hot water Biscuits and charge $11 for gravy pours over 2!!!!!!! I gotta say when I walked in the atmosphere was great, the people were nice, but when I opened My to go box all of that was disregarded. There is NO WAY that nice of a place should be serving food that they wouldnt serve in a homeless Shelter. $61 dollars for this? Yaw should be ashamed of ya selves. The Milk Shakes were good tho. At least that worked out. PEACE
PS I tried to Cook the raw hash. Still trash
PPS Heres a view to make it better at the end
One Love. Fix that menu yaw

Listen. Get over here and eat some good comfort food. The owner works hard and is so friendly. The staff are hard-working and friendly. Large, free parking lot. Close to downtown on the West Side. Closes at 2:30. Great menu. Good variety of choices. Cooked good. Affordable. Old school here! We just keep coming back over and over. 5 star diner!

No frills old school diner with good home cooked style food. According to recommending source this place gets busy and stays that way till closing at 2:30pm.
I got the country fried steak.
Steak was ok, gravy needs work. This is probably geared toward people who don’t like flavor or really low flavor.

Great diner in Franklinton! Tommy’s has that perfect retro vibe with old-school booths and a no-frills menu that delivers every time. I had the bacon and cheese omelette with extra crispy potatoes, and it was fantastic. The food’s hot, the service is friendly, and it feels like a step back in time. Noted for next visit… the chicken tenders looked amazing.

The food was not bad. The food was priced a bit high. Service was not the best. The server cleared our food before we were finished. The salt and pepper shakers were dirty. We had to wipe our seats off before we could sit down. The drinks taste funny.

Passed by to get some breakfast the place was packed not too bad of a wait though. The food was nothing to brag the hash browns though were terrible. Waiter never came back to check up on us after she brought out our food. The plates look like they need to be replaced. Food or service didn’t leave a lasting impression. Prices were a bit on the higher side.
