I smoke 100% wood–no gas or propane, on a 1000 gallon pit named Thelma and an old Mesquite Carousel smoker named Bertha. Everything is made here from scratch. No corn syrup, no MSG, no food coloring, no artificial flavorings or colorings. Real Texas style oak-smoked pit bbq.

We came right before closing and were very thankful they were still open. The servers were very friendly and offered samples of what they had to offer. We got our food to go but wish we could’ve stayed; they have a nice set up with a welcoming atmosphere. They also had various side dishes, desserts, sodas, spices, and other things available for purchase. The brisket was amazing! We also enjoyed the pulled pork, sausage, the sides, and the cookies. This place is definitely one you shouldn’t miss. We hope to be back real soon.

If you’re in the South, trying some BBQ is a must do. If you’re in Vicksburg, Tommy’s BBQ is the place to go. A rustic, hole-in-the-wall vibe with outstanding BBQ served inside, coupled with friendly staff who directs you if you’re a newcomer, beef brisket and the ribs are outstanding choices, good sides to choose from. Dessert choices were great but 2 items were sold out so more limited availability. Save time for Tommy’s and a 5 star BBQ experience. It’s well worth the trip.

Jay, the GM, gave us some suggestions to try and he was right. Brisket and pulled pork had great flavor. Mac and cheese was nice and creamy. Collard greens had a nice pepper bite to them. All in a bbq shack atmosphere.

Tommy’s BBQ was the best BBQ that I’ve eaten in a very long time! The service was awesome especially Manny! He was exceptionally attentive to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed! We even got to sample a few things before we got to order which was very cool. Never have I been to a restaurant that does that. We asked to speak to the supervisor, Jordan so we could tell him how much we enjoyed everything and he was so super nice and very professional and thanked us for coming in today. I had the brisket, BBQ beans and Mexican street corn and a sample of Cole slaw and it was all mouth watering delicious! My husband had the pulled pork. Potato salad and BBQ beans and he said it was the best BBQ he’s ever had! We also spilt a piece of Tres Leche cake and it was fabulous! We will most definitely be back!

My family of 3 stopped in after an afternoon of antiquing. Servers were great at explaining the menu and were very friendly. However the food was terrible and I can’t understand why it has such high reviews. We got the pulled pork nachos and the chips were stale and the cheese sauce tasted like it had been re-warmed multiple times. We also got a brisket sandwich which was advertised as “fully dressed”, which apparently is just meat on a bun. We also got the 1/4 meat options of brisket and turkey and they were obviously not weighed because there was more meat on the sandwich than the individual plates. We also got a baked bean side and it was extremely salty. The potato salad tasted like the cheap potato salad you get at Sam’s. To top it off, our drinks were $4 a piece and its self serve. Our total was $70 and only half of the food was eaten. If you know and love good BBQ… keep driving because this isn’t it! First and last time for us! The servers are great that is about all I can say!

We were driving home to Texas after getting off the cruise ship in Alabama, and just happened to find this place. We were so glad we did! From the moment we stepped inside, the employees made us feel welcomed. Once we got to the counter to view the menu, we were offered suggestions and samples. The 4 of us were all VERY IMPRESSED by each and every employee we encountered and the food was AMAZING!! After owning businesses for many years, I can honestly say, it was a great treat to see customer service at it’s finest in this establishment!!

The Turkey, just wow. I didn’t even know that turkey could be this juicy. Go for that and get yourself a tres leches for a finish. My wife and I feel very lucky to have visited this place on our trip!!:)
