We just happened upon this gem as we were driving around. Atmosphere is great and just what you would expect from the name. We had a grilled chicken sandwich which was huge and amazing and a pastrami sandwich. Fries are delicious too!

Pictured is their steak and cheese egg roll, meatloaf and one of their soups of the day. This place is very very good. It feels like grandmas home cooking. Nothing better than that. Make sure you bring cash, that’s what let them keep their prices so low compared to other restaurants in the area. Also Ed Sheeran ate here so you know it’s good. Suggest everyone to try out this place if you are in traveling by Branford or live in Branford.

Consistency is questionable. My friend and I recently had two drinks apiece and paid for each round right after being served. It was happy hour and we ordered the same drinks both times. I was charged a buck more for the round I bought. Not a huge amount but indicative of inconsistency. Good help is hard to find and harder to keep.
