We stopped here in passing. Provides indoor and outdoor seating and just a block from the market. I had a steak sandwich, salad with grilled chicken, and an order of hush puppies. The marinated steak tasted great and had a hint of horseradish and a grilled bun. The salad was a large portion and the hush puppies with spiced butter. Definitely has an Irish bar vibe. The waitresses were quick, super friendly and added to the experience. Offering lots of insight on what to do in Charleston when you’re on vacation.

Classic Charleston staple, this traditional Irish pub has live Irish music daily. High energy atmosphere & very tasty food. Service is excellent as well. I have been coming here when in town for over three decades and have never had any complaints.

Went on a rainy day with another couple & their pup. We were seated in the fully covered patio and had the best waitress (cannot remember her name but she was Irish ). Very attentive and personable. Food was very good and prices were very reasonable. Will be back next time we’re in Charleston!

Fish and chips were stellar! Some of the best cod I’ve had in a long time. Perfect batter and the tartar sauce is delicious! I also had a Guinness and some fried green tomatoes. Both were yummy! Our waiter was excellent! He gave us some advice on things to do in town and was extremely helpful throughout the dining experience. You can come back most evenings for live music. There are seats outside on a covered patio, outside along the walk way, and ample indoor seating.

Had a nice lunch here Friday 5/30.
We were seated quickly The waitress and her trainee were attentive without being intrusive. Beautiful Irish pub. Just what you would expect. I’ve been here before and love the Corned Beef & Cabbage and the Shepherds Pie. This time I had the Fish and Chips. The portion size was generous. The fish was perfectly breaded and fried. The proportion of fish to breading was perfect. The coleslaw was great.
I also had a Melon Sour which was also perfectly made.
Whenever I get to Charleston I stop here for a lunch or dinner and have never been disappointed.

The Dublin Rolls, Crown & Sprite as well as the Guinness draft were all on point. Jacquelyn was an amazing bartender! She had great conversation and she still moved with a sense of urgency along with a wonderful smile.

Jan 2026 – Been here several times through the years. Marjie and I had lunch when they opened on the first day of the SCVA conference. We had a good time catching up with the long-time bartender as she shared about the new ownership.

My family and I had lunch here and the food was incredible. We sat outside and had a great view we enjoyed. I asked for crayons for the kids and they brought some with papers for them to draw. I personally had the “Shrimp & Grits”, I totally recommend it.

Service was basic and inconsistent. The bartender who initially helped us walked away to handle other tasks, and I had to flag down the lady bartender to finish our forgoten Guinness.
The food was average at best. The Irish egg rolls were fine but unremarkable, and the coleslaw lacked flavor. On a positive note, the Guinness pour was almost perfect, definitely one of the highlights.
What truly made the night enjoyable was the two-piece band. Their music brought great energy and atmosphere, easily the standout part of the experience.

Kept cold today. Fireplace nearby but not on. Asked to turn it on but never happened. 11 people in view and only one without a jacket on. The bill at happy hour for a pint of Guinness and a shepherds pie was $36 BEFORE tip. One person @$43.20 to eat with tip. Extremely overpriced for mashed potatoes and meat. Not in a characteristic little bowl, and zero cheese. It was a heavy dollop of mash surrounded by the meat soup you’d expect. Probably $2 in ingredients. Really tasty but for the price … won’t be back. Service was perfect!
