What a treat. The coconut shrimp was so delicious and the slaw that came with it was amazing. Guacamole was fresh and the tortilla chips were still warm when they brought them out. Our drinks were really good. The restaurant itself was well kept and very nice.

Amazing food, ambience and service. Had asked for a table with a view at reservation which was promptly acknowledged on arrival. Nice view over Halakua dr. Amazing live music. Mai Tai was brilliant. Had the macadamia crusted mahi mahi and it was perfect. I’m a fussy eater and they lived up. The pineapple creme brûlée is a must. Simi was my server and service was prompt and yet unobtrusive. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a wonderful evening here. We had made a booking about 2 months prior and had a table upstairs overlooking Waikiki. It did rain a little and our server, Valentina, moved us to another table to avoid getting wet. The food was amazing! The serves are really big (we ordered too much) but everything we ordered was super tasty. Our server, Valentina, was great, attentive, informative and friendly. We were celebrating our engagement and she surprised us with a dessert at the end of the evening! There was also a guy playing guitar and singing live most of the evening. I have no hesitation in recommending Tommys as a fabulous restaurant and would definitely recommend it and come again.

We came to this restaurant, and everything was absolutely delicious — the food, the atmosphere, the presentation, all of it was perfect. We genuinely enjoyed every dish.
But what impressed us the most, and honestly left us amazed, was the service.

Our waitress, Melissa, was beyond incredible. Her attention to detail, the way she made us feel — it was truly outstanding.
This is literally the best service I have ever experienced in my life.

Thank you, Melissa, for making our evening unforgettable. You are amazing at what you do, and this place is lucky to have you!

Highly recommend — not just for the food, but for the exceptional care you’ll receive here.

Worth every penny. Fantastic experience on 1/20. Lily was attentive, informative and a wonderful server. We started with the classic coconut shrimp and their Mai Tai. The Mai Tai is a must try – not too sweet. I’d rank it in my top 3 on Oahu. We got the filet salad which was perfection – those thinly sliced fried onions – chefs kiss! The Waygu burger – my bf said it was excellent – first time he’s ordered a burger and it came out the temperature he asked for. We also had the pleasure of listening to live music by Randy.

Ok, I may have found my new favorite dessert, but more on that in a second. We had a seat on the open air roof too bar and it was great. Live music made for a nice atmosphere, not too loud, but enjoyable. Cocktails all were good, as was the goat cheese dip and the popcorn shrimp appetizers. Shrimp, scallops, fish tacos, all were very good and would have earned 4* by themselves, but the desserts were just great. We got a pina colada cake for the birthday girl, which she devoured; the key line just might have lived up to the “best on the island” hype, but the ultimate was the creme brûlée in a pineapple. I live creme brûlée but I’m super picky about it; this one, in a pineapple, was just terrific. Service was super friendlily. About $100 a person, with cocktails, apps, and a bottle of wine. Very nice.

It’s expensive but delicious. We came in for happy hour which is still way more expensive than other happy hours. The Mai tais we’re excellent and the coconut shrimp are some of the best ever. The service was absolutely 5 star – attentive and friendly. The rooftop seating area is very nice, we really enjoyed our time. The only not great things was the virgin strawberry daiquiri was not good, it was oddly bland. But the server took it away and we got a pop instead.

We went to Tommy Bahama on the last day of our trip. We tried visiting the day before but were told the rooftop was available only with a reservation, so we made one and came back the next day.

I absolutely loved the ambiance. Coming from Seattle, where we don’t really have many rooftop spots, this was a great experience. They also had live music, though unfortunately it was only for a short time and we caught about 15 minutes of it.

Our server was wonderful–very friendly, explained everything well, and even shared a bit about his background (he was also from Seattle!).

As for drinks and food: I ordered the grapefruit cocktail, which was amazing but pretty strong for me–I felt it after just one drink! The food, however, was fairly average. We ordered crab cakes, a margarita pizza from the kids’ menu, and mahi-mahi tacos. I didn’t really find the mahi-mahi to be blackened as expected.

For dessert, we had the pineapple crème brûlée, and that was the highlight. It wasn’t overly sweet and had the perfect balance of flavors–the pineapple blended beautifully.

Overall, it was a nice experience. While the food didn’t stand out much, the ambiance and service really made it worth the visit.

I had high hopes for this place, my partner was so adamant and built it up in my head. Well overall the food was good, my blackened ahi tacos had hair in it/along within the Verde salsa. . My partner had to wait to eat his food while they fired up an alternative for me, which was the wagu beef burger, but ..the damage had already been done. I was over it, impatient and mad. I’m sure the food is good when they make their chef wear a hairnet/beard net. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Food is eh. Cooking looked good, just the hair killed the whole vibe and experience. Also, the key lime pie was mid. Should’ve went with the double fudge.

The coconut shrimp appetizer was awesome

Let me start by saying the service is great. Our waitress was awesome and manager is great. The atmosphere is also great.

However, as a restaurant this place does not deliver on food. I ordered a ribeye medium rare and what I received was a near well done steak. Manager quickly did a redo but the new steak was terrible. The edges were torched to well done and the middle was blue rare. For a $55 steak, the technique of the kitchen is subpar as i can cook a better steak than that in my own kitchen.

I wish I took a picture of this terible steak, but the manager was eager to please and I didnt get a chance to take a photo with him asking how great everything is. (Also they temperature checked it to 110 degrees F, which isnt medium rare. It should’ve been 130 degrees f)

I was also expecting more flavor than just sweet steak (pineapple miso glaze) but it was not good. I recommend you do not order the steak here.

Otherwise, everyone else in the party enjoyed their food (pasta & fillet).
