Amazing food and the best island-style service!
I visited for dinner with my best friend and loved the unique atmosphere of the restaurant inside the Tommy Bahama store on the 2nd floor. It was busy, but we were lucky to find first-come, first-served seating at the bar. Our bartender and server, John, was incredible! Despite being super busy, he was attentive, gave us great menu recommendations, and even shared some local travel tips.
We planned on a light meal but ended up ordering a feast because everything was delicious. The goat cheese dip was warm and flavorful, and the chicken with Yukon mash was perfectly crunchy and rich. The shrimp and crab pasta was a highlight, featuring fresh seafood and a nice kick from the andouille sausage. We finished with the pineapple crème brulee, which had a beautiful presentation and a perfect citrus-meets-creamy flavor. For the best service and a great vibe, definitely visit and ask for John!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely but what really put this meal over the top was the outstanding service. Brittney and Tim took great care of us and made our dining experience fantastic. The food was amazing and its presentation beautiful, and my nut allergy was handled with ease. Everything was delicious!

Daughter/mother lunch outing. I selected this restaurant because the food looked great online and reviews were pretty good. Location is very nice, as we browsed shops after lunch. The hostess asked if we’d like to sit inside or out and we chose outside. I took a star off because we were not asked if we had a seating preference and were seated near the bar/very noisy area and music was loud overhead. There were plenty of empty tables along railing, and after inquiring if we could move due to noise, we felt our waitress was a bit irritated by us, but we were moved by hostess near railing. It was much quieter and also a prettier view. We ordered a goat cheese dip (my daughter’s fav) and a salad with dried mango and fried sweet potatoes and tomatoes. My daughter enjoyed her Mai Thai and I tried a non alcoholic drink with pineapple, jalapeño and mint. I was skeptical to try it because of the jalapeño, but our waitress said its just a hint of jalapeño and if I didn’t like it, I could order something else. It was a very unusual and tasty drink. Refreshing. My daughter ordered a chicken Ceasars salad and I ordered the beef ribs with slaw and mashed potatoes. I really enjoyed my lunch. Overall, we enjoyed out time together.

The very first thing that stood out was the fantastic service, especially from Jason and Adam. They were welcoming, attentive, friendly, and relaxed, creating the perfect vibe that us vacationers are looking for during nights out in Maui. Thank you, Jason and Adam!
Out of our 9 nights in Maui, we dined at Tommy Bahama’s 3 times, which really says it all. The food is consistently outstanding. We loved the happy hour menu, the fresh, flavourful salads and poke dishes, and the pineapple crème brûlée, which was absolutely unforgettable. And of course, the virgin piña coladas were perfection. They were so refreshing and beautifully made. The amazing flavours of both the dishes and drinks came as no surprise after Adam explained on our first night that everything is made in house, including sauces and drink mixes.
The atmosphere is just as great as the food, with live music every night, a fantastic patio, and a relaxed island vibe. It is also very easy to make reservations online, which made planning our evenings effortless.
Every single visit was a 10 out of 10 experience. Thank you to the Tommy Bahama crew. We cannot wait to be back on our next trip to Maui!

Thanks to Adam and the team for making my birthday extra special! I always find myself returning to Tommy’s for both that excellent food and service! The coconut shrimp is always a must and their happy hour and seasonal features are excellent as well!

Most amazing happy hour we’ve been to in Maui. The mahi fish tacos are delicious. Poki stack was amazing. If you like scallops, the scallop sliders are amazing. Cucumber smash cocktail was perfect. Our waitress Cori was AMAZING! Bubbly personality and so good at recommending different dishes. Overall we had an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend if your near Grand Wailea.

I just dined here with my family of 8 over Thanksgiving weekend and the service was great! We were very impressed with how fast our food came. We love eating here, it’s great for families and the ambiance is fun and lively! We all loved our meals and the server was wonderful!

Had a wonderful experience with Ethan, as my waiter. He was attentive but didn’t hover. The Spaghetti squash entree with shrimp, was fresh, delicious and so unique from most menus. And then I spotted my favorite dessert when I visit Maui, but hadn’t located so far this visit. The pineapple creme brulee was beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious. So thankful for my spontaneous lunch at Tommy Bahamas. Thanks Ethan for the friendly, personal service that made my lunch even nicer.

Our first time at a Tommy Bahama during our stay in Wailea. Located within the Shops at Wailea, in walking distance from major resorts. Plenty of parking in the free parking lot. Fully handicap accessible via ramps and/or elevator. Friendly and attentive front desk staff and ushers. We were seated immediately, had a reservation but the restaurant wasn’t very busy at dinner time. Observation: unable to book through Open Table, but no issue to get a reservation when calling in. The lady looked up my profile from my cell#. Strange business practice…
Nice table indoors, next to open tall doors to the terrace/patio. Good music in the background, noise level was rather low, easy to talk. The waitress gave us time to choose our orders. Excellent cocktails, shared a good starter followed by steaks. Almost perfectly cooked, slight too much for my taste (my filet was more medium than medium rare). Good quality and flavors. Great maybe not excellent though. Service speed seemed rushed and not well timed between starter and mains. Steaks were consequently warm but not hot anymore. I certainly get the american approach of a typical fast dinner, nevertheless this is a major vacation destination and the place wasn’t too busy. Minus two stars for the service overall. Recommended with limits, open to sample another Tommy Bahama location.

Adam our server was absolutely a delight to get to know and help us with recommendations. We loved every bite of food. We got to know each other a little bit and mentioned it was our last day on the island, we were here for an anniversary. As kind and generous and welcoming as possible, our server Adam treated us with a yummy dessert to celebrate us! What wonderful hospitality and Experience! We couldn’t be more happy with our dinner at Tommy’s.
