Went to Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar for lunch with some friends. The Blood Orange Margarita was tasty, as was the flatbread appetizer. The Wagyu hamburger was done well. The other orders were appreciated. Fresh ingredients throughout. We were seated promptly by the hostess. Our waitress was friendly and did a nice job explaining the menu items. Our order arrived expeditiously. The food was enjoyable, as was the dining atmosphere. The bar is located in the building. The restaurant transitions into a Tommy Bahama clothing store. Dining atmosphere the Marlin Bar was a nice experience.

Not a bad pit stop if you’re around for happy hour. Prices are reasonable and you can quickly refuel to continue your day. Food was hit or miss. Our steak flatbread was surprisingly delicious. The crust was beautifully crisped and caramelized. The burger was over-charred and black, making every bite taste bitter. In some cultures it’s considered sin to burn wagyu, so I have to dock them to a 3 for that. Service was also a little disorganized and hectic.

We had the BEST meal on the island here. Thank you to Trish our amazing server who made the best recommendations. We had the poke tuna starter, which was so fresh and delicious. Followed by the kampachi fish entree which was out of this world. Buttery and delicious with an amazing butter miso sauce. Incredible!! Atmosphere is great with live music. Definitely will be back!

I’ve been here five times so far since they’ve opened, just recently a couple nights ago. The service is truly great, there was a night where our lady server was a little woo but it was because they were closing soon and as a food service worker, I get it. I see people complaining about pricing of certain things but it’s truly not that bad compared to other restaurants (I’ve been to all of them in Queen and King shops). An app with a couple of drinks and two courses usually end up being under 120. Their menu doesn’t have tons of fish meals which is AMAZING because of course living in Hawaii, fish is everywhere. I really only get sangria, which is one of the best I’ve had, even if it’s a mix. Their mojito is also good but can’t go wrong there. Their chips with salsa and guac is wonderful, they fry it fresh (I hope) and something about the guac is addicting. I’ve only ever had good experiences here and I’m definitely coming back more, even if I know the whole menu already. Only had to wait for a table once (wait time was barely 7 mins) but it was two hours before close on a Saturday, like duh it’s going to be busy. If you have big parties, definitely come a bit before you actually want to eat. The pictures I have are from months ago but everything’s still served the same. I wish I could remember all my servers names and I’m sad I don’t because they were all wonderful. Most days have a cool breeze, don’t eat outside if it’s windy (it’s a pain) anywhere though). Definitely a place for an easy good dinner, or even just for drinks and chips. They also have a good chicken sandwich during brunch. 9/10 for me. I just really love their chips and sangria, Tommy’s does it right every time.

Our server was great, forgot her name, mixed gal. She went above and beyond. Food was good. The steak’s wine reduction was a bit strong, otherwise atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, no wait time to be seated. Garlic noodles were a hit. Got the mango salad it was so good we ate it before I had a chance to take a picture!

Almost perfection. Another home run from GM Arnie. Bartender Craig must’ve been in a bad mood, seemed a bit of a Karen. Young new waiter, Cody, made up for it however, even though we were seated at the bar. Only other change I’d make is softer lighting at store end of bar, like the rest of the restaurant… And there were a couple of really loud drunk hooligans that should’ve been spoken to… They made what would’ve been an exceptional meal, a little less so. Arnie is a gem and TB is lucky to have him! Great new spot!

We had a largely wonderful experience. The food was excellent, our server was attentive and genuinely kind, and the bar staff (especially Toni) were exceptional — friendly, professional, and clearly committed to great hospitality. We will absolutely continue to enjoy cocktails and bites at the bar.
Unfortunately, I can’t give five stars due to our initial interaction with the hostesses and the food runner on duty Monday evening around 7:30 PM. Neither young lady greeted us with a smile or acknowledgment, and we were seated at a table that had not yet been cleaned. The food runner later delivered our meals without a word, placed the plates down rather abruptly, and walked away without even a simple “enjoy.” When we said thank you, she did not respond.
This was surprising, as Tommy Bahama typically has such a strong reputation for warm, professional service. We were excited to welcome the Marlin Bar as a new addition to Queen’s Marketplace, but these early touchpoints matter and set the tone for the entire dining experience.
With some additional training and attention to guest-facing hospitality, this restaurant could easily be a five-star destination. We truly hope to see improvement as we would love to return for the full experience.

Stopped here for dinner on our first night in Hawaii. After a long day of traveling, we were looking for an easy, relaxed meal. We were seated right away on the patio. Service was fine, but nothing memorable.
Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. It felt like eating at an Applebee’s, but priced as if we were at a high-end steakhouse. A complete tourist trap and not worth the time or money. My partner did enjoy his cocktail, but my whiskey sour was unpleasant.
We started with an appetizer flatbread, which was just okay. We then ordered the Wagyu burgers that were on special, and they were incredibly underwhelming—mushy in texture and topped with a slice of pineapple that didn’t help. For two burgers, one appetizer, and two drinks, we paid about $130 plus tip. At a chain restaurant, this meal would have cost a fraction of the price with equal or better quality.
Would not recommend, and we will not be returning.

We have visited 3 times in the last few months. The food and overall friendliness of the team is good. With that said, this location has a serious issue with proper coursing of meals. Often appetizers are completely forgotten about or come out with or after the main. Tonight, my main arrived before the appetizers and my partners dinner. I was left either being a bad guy and eating before my meal got cold, or letting the meal get cold and having my partner eat a warm meal. I was told to go ahead and eat while it’s hot. I was able to finish the appetizer and main before my partners meal came out. Our server did apologize however this is a repeating issue that has happened on every single visit and this time no offer to make right was made. On other occasions the team did do something special to show good faith. The food quality here is good for the price however very inconsistent with coursing a meal. Pro tip: Order your appetizer and drinks then wait until everything comes out until you order mains. Even if you wait 10 mins to put in your main order the main will come out with/before the appetizers.
