Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar offers exactly what you’d expect from a brand built on coastal comfort, a relaxed, upscale atmosphere with great attention to detail. The patio is especially worth mentioning: the misting system creates a cool, gentle spray that makes outdoor dining in Florida not only bearable but genuinely enjoyable. It’s a clever touch, though interestingly, not a new idea, the ancient Romans used similar techniques to cool their courtyards and terraces. Nothing under the sun is truly new, just refined. The staff were friendly and attentive without hovering, and the food carried that signature Tommy Bahama balance, fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and presentation that feels effortless. Overall, the Marlin Bar is the kind of place that reminds you how good simple things can be when done right. Whether you’re stopping in for a drink, a light meal, or just to enjoy the breeze under the misters, it’s a perfect escape from the usual rush. A modern nod to timeless comfort, and proof that style and hospitality never go out of fashion.

Shout out to Ashley for recommending the Island Tea – it really hit the spot! I was looking for something light & went with the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos. So glad I did! Yum! I love the salsa that comes with it – it goes great with the tacos or just the chips.

Shout out to the live musician (whose name escapes me right now) for your wonderful songs & for not being so loud that I couldn’t have a dinner conversation – lol – I love that!!

I can’t wait to come back, hear more great live music, & try more great food from your menu!

Oh mama, it’s Tommy Bahama – and he’s serving up a little slice of the island vibe in Winter Park! This unassuming little bar and restaurant is a total treat, and perfect chill spot on a sunny afternoon.

Located in the posh Winter Park Villages, the joint is attached to the Tommy Bahama clothing store. If you’re not familiar, it’s a high-end chain – and we’ve been to other locations to shop for apparel. These bar concepts started popping up a while ago, but we’ve never eaten at one.

What makes this spot different is that vibe. The bar itself is bright and filled with island decor. The outdoor patio is self-seating, and they often have live music – a really nice touch. Who doesn’t like a few Jimmy Buffet covers while sipping a margarita?

The drinks are inspired and reflect that island theme. I prefer the draft beers, but the cocktails are gorgeous and dressed with flowers and other accoutrements.

The food is spot on. It’s nothing fancy, but what it lacks in sophistication it makes up for in taste. Both the chips and guacamole and the street corn dip are great ways to start out. Do try the ahi tuna tacos – the shells are freshly fried and it gives the whole composition a light, crispy finish.

This place is a hidden gem that’s ideal for a Saturday afternoon “errand snack” or even date night. Prices are quite reasonable, and there’s often not a wait. There’s also counter service where you can order, find a bench on the patio, and wait for the deliciousness to find you.

Oh, and kudos to the staff. They’re delightful and well trained. If you like sitting at bars, it’s not a bad place to strike up a conversation.

Put this little corner of paradise on your list. I guarantee you won’t be wasting away in Margariatville.

Great atmosphere with seats inside and out. Local musician was playing fun music. The servers and manager were all working hard, we’re attentive, and fun. I can’t remember if it was the manager or the server, but Caesar was awesome. The chicken sliders weren’t really Nashville, but they were tasty. The Cajun fries are fantastic. The brownie coconut dessert hit the spot (and it was crazy how subtle, but noticable, taste of coconut was. Then they had such fantastic drinks, that we then had too many of, and bought clothes at the store. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Just left from this place with my husband and WOW. To say we felt like we were not acknowledged is a complete understatement. We were excited and ready to enjoy their happy hour. We sat, took them like 10 mins to even say hi and when we were ready to order, another 10 mins, they walked near us, didnt look at us at all and yet I saw them acknowledging other folks who were not, for lack of better word, people of color. Let me tell you, we were dressed to impress and ready to tip and take care of them. Last but not least, we were ready to showcase them as we run an Instagram page to showcase the best cocktail bars and happy hour spots. Oh well.

Tried the new Marlin Bar for happy hour this week. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service were all amazing! The Ahi Poke bowl came highly recommended by my server and it was delicious and light. There was live music outside playing and it was a very relaxing atmosphere.

The only downside would be the happy hour menu… drinks are only a few dollars off normal price and there were no food options on happy hour. Overall, I’d prefer happy hour somewhere else but this is still a great option to try out

I was around the area and decided to stop by and have a nice lunch outside. I went in placed my order and found outside seating on the side of the restaurant. It is an open concept with a bar area, modern and welcoming.

My server was attentive and checked on me often. Food was fresh, made to order and flavorful. I ordered the blackened shrimp chopped salad and for dessert the key lime pie, with were delicious!

I will definitely be back to try other things.

My wife and I highly recommend the Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar in Winter Park Village, easily the best kept secret in Winter Park. The food is elevated and consistently delivers some of the best bites in all of Orlando. The service is outstanding and the spacious outdoor seating with shade and live music creates an incredible atmosphere. We are always greeted by Danielle who makes everyone feel welcome the moment they arrive and she makes great drinks too. The Mahi tacos and steak flatbread are perfect 10’s, trust me, I am a serious food snob. If you want delicious food and a great place to relax inside or out, this is it!
